David Price and company against the Indians tonight.
I'm expecting Big things ... :D

Still hate the fact that two Hot players are sitting out tonight.

Tigers continue thier freefall ...

Typically they have a good 1st half and fall off in the 2nd, if that hold this year, this year will go down as a MAJOR disappointment.

Where are all the KCFANS .... they have played very good ball thru most of the year.

Stupid computer won't let K C stay K C, always wanting to change it to whatever it thinks I want to say.

Tigers Justin Verlander pitches a strong 7.2 innings gives up 1 run on a bloop to the last batter he faced.
Gave up only 2 hit thru 7, Tigers lead 6-1 when he left.
Rondon came in to finish off the 8th, threw 1 pitch and was out of the inning.

Tigers go on to LOSE this game giving up 7 runs in the 9th inning.

After losing a 2-1 lead the night before and being down 6-1 going into the bottom of the ninth, I had little hope. That comeback was nuts. All the Twins batters did what they needed to do to get Dozier to the plate and that ball was just set on a tee for him.

Why Rosario was stealing second down by multiple runs in the ninth, I'll never know. Lucky that replay was there to set the call right or it would have killed the Twins rally.

Twins were able to stave off the Tiger rally this afternoon. Perkins pitched a good ninth for a non-save.

I keep hoping that the Tigers are turning the corner, however I don't think it's happpening ..... people keep telling me there's still 1/2 a season to go, what good is that if you never start playing well ?

They need to find a #1 or #2 pitcher as well as a top reliever at the trade deadline for starters.
With everyone already knowing this, they will have to give up a ton.

After the last four years, I'm satisfied that the Twins are competitive and entertaining again. That said, since they have put themselves in a position to contend, I want them to do so. It feels great that I believe that can happen.

Like you said, once your contending on a regular basis, you expect more ...
I think the Tigers as well as thier fans EXPECT more.

Tigers have 3 games against the Orioles and 4 against the Mariners coming out of the break and into the Trade deadline.
Also Boston and Tampa Bay it looks like before the end of the month.

Meanwhile the red hot Royals play the White Sopx, Pirates, Astros and Indians before the break.

This is the time they need to come out and win games to try and get back into this race.

Twins are out west. They also need to put some pressure on the Royals.
Yes, I would like nothing more than the Tigers AND Twins to pass them ... but its gonna take time on the Tigers side being so far back, but ya gotta start somewhere.

Tigers get a single from Kinsler to lead off the game, and thats IT.
1 hit against Baltimore pitcher Tillman with an era over 5.

David Price once again is the hard luck pitcher, losing tonight giving up 1 run in 7 innings, striking out 12, he left trailing 1-0, Tigers lose 3-1.

This is not the first time this has happened to Price this year.

Got a funny feeling that Price will move on at the end of the year and sue for lack of Offense.

That said, I really hope he resigns.

Twins lost a tough one in Oakland. Took a 2-1 lead in the ninth, but lost 3-2 in ten.

Tigers are done though it's been a few weeks now and it's only going to get uglier with the contracts they will have on the books, hopefully they will trade Price and try to get something for him. Can't wait to hear the sound bites from JV on how his "stuff" felt good

I agree. I hope they don't make the playoffs as they have no chance in winning.

Only reason why I say that is because I'm actually looking forward to NOT buying playoff tickets that they sell as part of my season ticket package.

As long as Kansas City, Giants, Cardnials, Red Sox or Phillies don't make it to the World Series I'm happy.

Trade Price and get a few minor league guys ... No WAY.
You Never get what you should when you trade a stud.
