So I saw my Sunday Ticket renewed with my last bill, and decided it was time to make my annual call to "Cancel." Usually this results in a reduced price offer and I end up keeping it...not this time! They didn't even ask why I wanted to get rid of it, and made zero effort to keep me. They just put me on hold, came back on and said 'ok you'll see it reflected in the next 48 hours on your account, anything else I can change for you today?' Wierd, but anyway, I guess I won't have Sunday Ticket this year!

So as a heads up, if you're thinking of "cancelling," be ready to cancel!

The NFL Red Zone channel is the bomb....I will never add ST...Don't need it.

Just called, they did offer me 20% discount. Last year got that and they threw in the ST max upgrade for free. Couldn't offer Red Zone as a stand alone either, so I had them cancel it. May call back closer to the season and after the next bill processes. Have had it for 6 years.

Don't you have to get the max st option to get red zone ?

Yes, in the past they would add it as a standalone to ST without having to add the ST max. I asked about that today, was told it's not an option.

Thats fine if you don't follow a particular team ...
I use the RZ occasionally when My game isn't on, but usually I like to find an important game and follow it, not 30 seconds of a game.

I called and cancelled ST after having it for 4 seasons (mostly because I won't have as much time this year to watch) and they came back with something like $8/off a month or something. It wasn't much. I said no thanks and she prompted cancelled it.

I got $50 off immediately and $10 off a month for Max. I decided to keep it for now.

Thanks for sharing your experiences, maybe I'll call back in a few weeks and see if there's a new offer they come up with.

Funny seems like when you actually do want to cancel something they make it hard, and when you really just want them to give you a better offer or throw ya a bone they make cancelling to easy :). I had a 2% cash bank unlimited everywhere card through HSB, they got bought out by different credit card company and changed it to 1.5%, so I called and said I had this account for 8 years, if your just going to reduce my cash back I will just cancel it, she immediately came back and said, sorry that your not happy with the new cash back rate, your card is now cancelled..... I was like ..ok. :) I usually have a hell of a time cancelling these things.

imho all providers should let people cancel.
the practice of giving out money when people whine just serves to raise the prices.

lower the prices across the board and stop with the incentive stuff

I call Monday and got the NFL Sunday free if I would be under contract for one year and got a discount on my bill for year. So I took the offer this time.

Thanks I am going to callback next week as the season gets closer they have better deals! imo :)

I just called to cancel Sunday Ticket and surprisingly was able to do it through the automated telephone system. The computer voice said, "What would you like to do?" I replied, "Cancel Sunday Ticket." The voice then said, "Would you like to receive a 20% discount on your renewal." I said , "No" The voice then said, "Sunday Ticket has been cancelled. If you have been charged for this service, your account will be credited in 3 to 5 business days."

That's it - really easy.
