I'm blown away that I can't figure out how to use PIP or DoublePlay on my HR44 to accomplish a trivial thing.

First, I want one game in PIP and one game in main frame. I want to easily and frequently switch between the two. On Dish network, I would select one channel, then select the other, then press PIP and then use the Previous Channel to switch back and forth.

With the HR44, if I can even get PIP set up initially, it's hard enough to get both stations working in PIP, but then when I press previous, I end up going to the other channel and my PIP stays the same as the main picture.

This makes PIP more or less unusable if you plan to switch stations frequently. I'm sure I'm missing something...

to switch frames on PIP, press the DOWN arrow. Same if you are using Double Play

Thanks, that worked perfectly. I'm not really understanding what Double Play does, and I can't seem to get it to work, but the down arrow definitely solves the PIP problem. Can you advise what Double Play is and how/when to use it over PIP?

Thanks again!

I believe Double Play records on two tuners when you activate it, so you can switch from one to the other and pause, rewind etc...

Thanks all, for me I only use PIP when watching live. I also like the side by side view (something Dish didn't have). Now that I know the down button is used for PIP switching, I'm set. I do find it a little confusing on sometimes getting the right programming configured in PIP, sometimes I end up with the active channel also being PIP'd.
