When I did my 4K upgrade they had to get rid of my 5 LNB and put a 4K-capable reverse band 3 LNB in its place. When that happened I lost some music channels that are only on the 119 satellite. Any word on when the 4K 5 LNBs will be out? I hear it's sometime this July, but I'm not positive. Does anyone have any idea, and if possible, a date?

Nope, no news that I'm aware of ...

It's in some kind of a strange nebulous state ....

Apparently past the field testing phase, but very little news of it's actual release for availability. Only recall one subscriber in South Point, OH. who posted here rather recently that received one for his 4K install.

Not even sellers on ebay, which are usually the quickest at getting items like this, can seem to get their hands on one yet ...

Correct. SD locals are still on 119 here and the local warehouse was sent one. Tech hooked me up while troubleshooting an issue. This was simply luck of the draw and has no bearing on any national release.

The guy in OH is probably in a testing market, these are only being installed in markets that need the 119 for base programming

Which would be everywhere, yes? Aren't the Spanish packages considered "base programming?"

SD locals would only be considered part of base if the dma had no hd. And Spanish is considered international, so no its not what I was referring to. I don't have a list of dmas that are in this pilot, nor was I a part of it, but I now believe the office that serves that poster was involved in the Rev beta testing. After we all got pbi lnbs, we were able to do whatever we wanted with the wncs. This was over a year ago in some parts of the west and mid west, so that one lnb could have come from this senario which I think is more likely. If he was part of a pilot market everyone would be getting rev5 lnbs in his area.

I was referring to the Spanish Packages in the USA. https://www.directv.com/DTVAPP/pepod/configure.jsp?language=SPANISH&lpos=Header:3#package-section

I understand but inside our internal system Hispanic packages are considered international because the channels are optional. I believe that pilot is related to select LiL areas
