Tribune Broadcasting Company Blacks Out DISH Customers in 33 Markets;

Retransmission disputes with cable companies were not uncommon before satellites started to make local channels available.
And to make things more interesting, Time Warner Cable started charging a "Broadcast Channels Fee" a couple of years ago. According to them, this is how much they are paying the local channels in retransmission fees. My last bill before I dropped TWC completely a couple of months ago had a "broadcast channels fee" of nearly $4.

Comcast in the Detroit area charges 9.95 for local feeds

Look at the quote in my post, he brought up a incorrect amount for Comcast, I corrected him.

Your confused you can not get service for locals for 4.95 from Comcast

Min service. Digital Economy .....19.95
Broadcast fee................................4.95
Franchise fee................................6.00

You also pay a regional sports fee that is not for FSD because the fee shows up on all accounts

So it's a Surcharge.

Anyway..Back to live action. Any word on a possibility of a resolution of this dispute?
I am pissed off because I have the superstation package and half the channels are missing.
Including WPIX NY which has 35 Mets games.....

That's why we're twiddling our thumbs in this thread...no one knows. So...back to twiddling our thumbs.
