Now that the tribune dispute is over, I plan to move from dtv to dish. I have seen a number of threads mention a $200 visa gift card offer, but I am unsure how to get that offer. I noticed that if I order from an independent vendor there are some offers, but I prefer to just order direct from the dish website. How can I get the visa offer using the dish website?

Thanks,
Tom

When I called to negotiate my "come back to Dish" package, I mentioned I had a $200 gift card offer in an email I'd received from Dish (which was true.) I'm not sure whether she asked me for the code under the $200 offer or not, she just said "Oh. great!" and put it in my order.

I've been with DISH for a little over a week. No one offered me a visa gift card. Did I get ripped? Is it too late to ask?

I'd call them back ASAP and tell them you feel ripped off that you was not offered anything when there are offers out there. Get ahold of DIRT....

The core offer is generally the same everywhere.

The gift card offers very.

As a Directv dealer I can't even keep up. There is one in the closing offers now, plus I think att has another $100 card for getting Internet and another $100 card for getting phone.

Honestly I don't bring them up to the customer unless they specifically ask or Its needed as a closing offer. If I see the offer, I check the box to give it to the customer.

I hate getting the calls from customers asking where the gift card is.

I've been with Directv for the last couple of years, moved from Dish to DTV in 2014. For the last year, it seems like once a week I've gotten something in the mail from Dish asking me to come back to Dish.

For the last few months, those in-the-mail offers have featured an offer for a $200 Visa gift card. They have a note under the offer saying "Mention H-8" or M-8 or some other code that seems to change every month. Again, these are all coming directly from Dish and not a 3rd party seller.

I don't know if you have to give them the code to get the card. But you can certainly tell the person you are talking to on the phone that your friend (I can be your friend!) told you they got a $200 Visa gift card when they signed up and ask if you can get the same deal. Also, most of us who are Dish subbers have a code where you can get an additional $10 off per month for 10 months (just ask and the subscriber will give you a code when you sign up.)

I did get the card offer for 200 dollars. It was a come back offer. I did get my card about 6 weeks later. price fix for 2 years and premiums for 3 months free. I took the 250 channel package with the hopper 3 and the total cost was around a month. I am retired so I think i am good with that price for 2 years.
