Waiting to see what time I freeze tonight. When I make it through that first night without a hiccup I know we are good to go.

Been freezing constantly for about thirty minutes.

Went to vue for about a half hour or so and then swapped back. It was good for ten minutes and now it's dropping out again.

Edit:. As soon as I hit "post" it kicked me out of the app. Second time on two different devices it's done that tonight

I will say this. It is better than previous nights and at the start of week 2 I have seen improvements. Sometimes the stream will freeze and startup again. That didn't happen again. After my initial freezing I got a good 42 minutes before the next freeze.

Bottom line is this. I am a beta tester for three months and have been given the equipment to do so. At the end of that three months it better be all swim and no sink.

I never was high about Directv streaming because I remember trying to stream Sunday Ticket and it buffered all the time and never got better season to season. This may be what it is, hope I'm wrong.

Well here is what you get when you try watching football.

And here is what happens if you try watching on Sling TV.

This is actually quite different. It seems that at peak hours there is a drain on the servers and Now can't handle the capacity. Things are great all day until that magic 7:30 hour or so. It's like clockwork. I can stream ABC and CBS via app without a hiccup. ATT may have to invest in some infrastructure ASAP.

Agree partially, they need more bandwidth or smarter load balancing equipment to handle nighttime loads. Can you imagine what happens when GOT's airs.

What I'm saying about NFL ST they still have done nothing to make it work better after all these years. So the mentality is to get by with the minimum. Works Okay during low loads so well enough. It all depended on which game you watched how much buffering would occur.

Started the NOW 7 day trial today. I'm actually impressed with PQ comparing PSVue on 2 Sony 930d with same calibration side by side. If anything reds on Now are little more accurate. Hoping first week bugs are worked out, most curious how it handles high user load prime-time and during highly watched events.
If it works and DVR gets added the lock in price will be great but many know how Directv nickles and dimes to squeeze everything they can out. With $6 rate increase + local RSN increase coming on satellite Extra package next month I can see this getting dinged also. It's still going to be a deal with the grandfathered startup price for awhile anyway.

Another little surprise I noticed AHC is in HD.

I need to correct something here about PQ. Its not as good as the PSVue watching my favorite morning news program after a evening of freeze and buffering, I'm seeing more grain in NOW clearly visible using the side by side comparison.

ive not had issues with Sunday Ticket for the last two years. I honestly didn't know it was still an issue for people.

Things are also solid for me last night on NOW.

I'm wondering if there are a given amount of servers in certain markets. I'm in the NYC/Philadelphia market and might have a heavier load than less populated markets.

I ordered first day...got email saying it shipped and was good to go. I paid via credit card I have read of people paying with PayPal having issues

Well, I just did a search and see that I received the email on the 5th. It came from a different email address. That's how I missed it. I'll have the Apple TV today. It's out for delivery.
