And apps like this are why Roku won't even be a shadow of it self in 5 years. Android TV and FireTV. I don't see a lot of these types of new apps being developed for Roku. As owner of 2 FireTV's, Amazon's superior chip makes using the FireTV a breeze and extremely responsive even compared to my Roku3. The only loss (or GAIN) is that FireTV lacks a lot of those small niche apps for entertainment, but I don't use ANY of those. I more than I can watch on Netflix and Hulu and Amazon who have all the content I am interested in watching via OTT. So, a FireTV stripped of the Roku "junk" app channels if FINE by me--AND FireTV supports VLC which plays all necessary files INCLUDING my VOB files. Roku Media Player predictably does NOT play VOB, and VLC is my preferred player on all other devices and desktops. Buh-bye Roku--AND their crazy marketing with too many types of players to choose from. Roku needs to stick with Good; Better; Best.
