So who is getting the Samsung S8/S8+?

Some time ago I switch from my Droid to an iPhone 6, mainly because all my kids and grandkids had iPhones. Because I had an iPad and then just got an iMAC, I made the switch. I have never been impressed with the iPhone and now that I can switch am looking at the S8+. Better screen, good camera with RAW, waterproof down to 6 feet for 30min. replaceable memory card, good OS. I am a photographer, not quite pro but close, and the fact that the best camera is the one you have is a driving force, I don't always have my Canon with me, and with lightweight attachable lenses could be a winner.

One of my coworkers got the new LG G6 and he's in love with the cameras on it. Although the pictures my sister sent me from her Galaxy S7 seem more natural than the overly-processed S3/S4 pictures I've seen, so maybe Samsung has learned to tone it down. Too bad they don't let you test-drive a couple of phones to see which one you like best...

S8 ,with VR headset and wireless charger bundle $625 on Amazon Primeday .

I've had the Note 3 since 2014 carried in front pocket with keys and coins and have never protected the glass with anything and glass still looks brand new. Does Samsung still use the high quality glass? Reason I ask there was some talk when the Note 3 came out of dropping glass quality down a bit because of expense.

Got my S80 plus tuned up . I like the taller screen. Going to Leave the screen on the default res. They said it saves power and is still top line resolution.

Bought their very expensive Dex station. It's laying in a shelf. In my opinion they could have called it the Dog.

Interesting. I wondered about that and how well it might work. As much as the geek in me wanted to get one to play with, I couldn't really think of how I would use it after the novelty wore off.
