Humble Saints Row Bundle (pay what you want and help charity)

Humble Bundle is having a "Saint's Row" bundle even though it includes lots of games that aren't in the series. There are lots of tiers this time including a $75 tier that includes an Agents of Mayhem preorder.

The Tell Tale bundle has included some more games too. If you don't already have the Tell Tale Batman game the $15 tier is a steal.

Yeah I don't know why it's called a Saints Row Bundle. Deep Silver would be more appropriate, as its the publisher of all the games. I decided to pick up the BTA package so I could check out Mighty No 9 and try out Homefront and see if it's really as bad as I remember.

The Telltale bundle now is basically $15 for almost every Telltale game ever made, minus Back to the Future and Strong Bad's Game. Unless you already have most of the games in the bundle there's really no reason to not jump on this. It's 20 games for $15.

If the 50% off coupon was for Guardians of the Galaxy instead of Walking Dead Season 3 I would have bought this even though I already own everything except for Minecraft Story Mode.

The Sexy Brutale is on sale for 50% off for $9.99 on Steam. It's an indie game but it's gotten quite a bit of high praise from both critics and players. It's currently at 93% recent and 95% overall.

Prey added a free trial on Steam and is on sale for $29.99.

I guess they finally got enough backlash over their previous "demo" where they told people to just use the 2 hour Steam return window as their "Try before you buy" system.

In case you're wondering why that was an awful idea..

I think at this point it's clear that Prey didn't set the world on fire like Bethesda wanted. They wouldn't put time and effort into these new trails if the game sold well. I played a little bit of it at launch via an impulse purchase (CDKeys can be very tempting at times). It wasn't bad, but it didn't "grab" me like other games like Yakuza 0 and Horizon: Zero Dawn did.

Thee is a Quakecon sale happening on Steam. It looks like it includes pretty much everything Bethesda published. I think I saw similar prices for some of these games on PSN too.

QuakeCon

XCOM 2 is also on sale and having a free weekend.

Deep Silver Publisher Weekend

Deep Silver is having a weekend sale on Steam for the 742nd time. In addition to the normal offerings, this one includes Agents of Mayhem for $20. I'm tempted since I loved the last two Saints Row games but I'm going to continue to hold out. There are too many other games I would rather be playing right now and the game didn't review or sell well so I'm confident that the price will only go lower before I'm actually ready to play it. It's still worth pointing out because it's pretty rare to see a game drop from $60 to $20 less than two months after release.

I wouldn't bother with AoM, at least not now. The little I played of it didn't make it seem like it was a good successor to SR, or could fit the statement of "If you liked SR you'll like AoM." And besides, since it's Deep Silver you know it'll eventually be available for even cheaper. But yes I also agree that it's very rare to see such a drastic price drop so early. AoM really did not do as well as DS or Volition were hoping it would. A bunch of staff were let go a month after release and they even brought back one of their former bigwigs to help figure out where to go now.

Life after Agents of Mayhem: Where now for Volition?
