DWS44, sorry I changed my post, but I realized the reason his name wasn't coming up when I searched is I can't speel... ;) By the time I fixed my wording, you'd already read and replied.

Glad I have a clear window looking into my computer so I can see the motherboard and cards. I just looked over at my GTX 1070 card and seen it displaying "FAN STOP" in lights light on it.

I loaded on an graphics card overclocker tool and have got the fan running on it again. Temperature is down to 34 degrees Celsius and the light is off again. (Note nothing is overclocked on this system)

Not sure how long it was like that. Although I notice both my F@H slots on this computer are now reporting failed.

I have changed the resolution going to my monitor to 1920x1080 as it was in 4K Resolution (I got a 32 inch Samsung 4K monitor a few weeks ago) and hope that helps as I can't afford a new video card right now.

Now I need to figure how to get the folding going again on this machine.

Still not folding. Also found the fan was stopped on the other video card so something funky is going on.

So did some research on this and had some people say they fixed this by rolling back the NVIDIA drivers.

I went and looked at my drivers and see that Microsoft replaced my drivers with microsoft drivers, so I am now installing the NVIDIA Experience and NVIDIA drivers again. I hope this helps.

Ok NVIDIA drivers installed and system rebooted.

Folding@HOME is working again and Fan Stop light is off, fans are running on both video cards without using the overclocking tool to control the fans. :)

I had the same thing happen to me with the latest update. Took me a couple of days to get things going again the way I wanted.
I had been using an earlier driver, but once in awhile I will let it take the new driver and check it out and sometimes they work fine.
This last one didn't work so well so I took out the new one, and put in an older version and back to folding full steam.
Next day it was back to no folding!! Checked and Windows had re-installed the new version over night. I went in and made sure to uncheck to install new drivers automatically.
Removed the new driver and re-installed again the older driver and check that it was back to folding and thought I was done...
ARGH!! Checked the next morning and Windows had put the new driver in again. So did some research and with this fall update, I had to go in to the registry and change a setting, to completely stop this from happening.
Maybe that is fine for the general public, but they should have one setting(without going to registry) that one can check a box or whatever and say I am a power user.
Yes, I realize Windows will not hold my hand, this is OKAY! :D

Sad to say, Microsoft is hostile to Folding@Home and other CUDA applications by pushing their version of NVIDIA drivers without CUDA.

Sorry, folks, I have to idle one of my rigs. I'm down to the MacPro that I bought in 2007 to Fold, but now it has a pair of NVIDIA cards to Fold with, so it's more powerful than 2007.

Hopefully, things will be back on track when I can spare the time to get it back on-line. The Dell DP7400 was good for close to 1,000,000 Points per Day and the Team really needs every Point it can get!

Ouch, I hope whatever happened to your Dell isn't too $erious. I checked this morning and found myself in the #1 slot and said WTF??? Hope you can get back up to speed soon.

Been having issues with my 7400 also. According to the Advanced Control Panel I monitor everything is fine and show 800k-900k a day estimate.
Just got to looking at my actual stats though and see I have fallen bad.
So looked at the logs and indeed the 7400 has been folding merrily along, but the server has been rejecting all of its WU's. ARGH!! For the last 72 Hours or so DOUBLE ARGH!!!

So I have went through with it re-installing drivers and such. I have it back to folding again so I will know in a couple of hours if the server will take its working units.:coffee

Well looks like several are still being rejected. Don' t have time now will have to look at it later.

Just in the nick of time, the cavalry in the form of the Scorpion comes back in to the fold. We need the points, and I hope you can use the space heater effect.

I fired my T7400 back up. Now that it's under 40?F outside, the extra heat is actually welcome.

Scorpy's back into the Fold? That's fantastic!

Hmmm, it looks like he has some new NVIDIA silicon to Fold with as well; over 2,000,000 PPD! He won't stay in third place for long with that much horsepower.

Oh, well, it was nice to be #1 for a couple of months...
