I can understand this entirely ... just because you started higher than you are now, doesn't mean your no good, thats why they play the games ...
Those polls were not designed to tell you where you would be at the end of the year, they were to tell you where they thought they were at the time ...
A lot will change between now and the 1st weekend in Dec, a few short weeks away.
From a Buckeye perspective ...
This week, heres hoping that Wisconsin wins in a game thats closer than they would like (playing ichgan).
If Wisconsin loses, I think they still go to the BT Championship game, to play the Buckeyes (provided they win out).
I don't want to see ichigan get blown out, because I'd like them to still be ranked the following week.
If Wisconsin loses this week, the BT Championship game won't make as big of an impression on the Committee.

Looks like the big upset this week is gonna be Kansas state demolishing OK State. Still in the 4th, k state up 45-20

I see Classy Baker Mayfield was at it again today ...

I mean, they aren't the # 2 team, regardless what the number says. Those 9 lives run out at some point.
So, now, Clemson has to beat Miami next week, that puts another team with 2 losses.
If Miami loses, I'm gonna guess they are out, if they win, it will be really interesting.
Alot of the playoff committee goes by what you've done lately ... if your on a roll going in, it helps.

As a Buckeye fan, last week they said (they the experts) to root for Bama, Oklahoma and Miami to win out ....
In this case I don't know if it matters that Miami won or loss because Clemson is in the same situation that Miami was in, I believe.

Iowa had a very strange season this year. They really struggled against the teams they should have beat but then managed to beat some teams they probably shouldn't. There were two very depressing games sandwiched between two very satisfying games to end the season. Watching them put up over 50 on OSU and Nebraska was very enjoyable.
I've never been a fan of Ferentz, but he does the job that Barta wants out of him.. get to a bowl game every year. I told all my friends that Iowa would lose once they got to that 6 win mark... we're going to a bowl!! splat... Of course Barta's attitude has carried over to all the other sports as well. Look at wrestling. :sigh: At least Ferentz isn't Mike Riley

I’m a big fan of Ferentz. His coaching can drive me crazy but he’s the best coach for Iowa overall. He does so much for the university, the hospital and the state in general.
Now Georgia fan ..... Auburn, Auburn, Uh Oh No ....
Like Bama fan usually says .... "Careful what you ask for " lol...
