Glad I have a clear window looking into my computer so I can see the motherboard and cards. I just looked over at my GTX 1070 card and seen it displaying "FAN STOP" in lights light on it.

I loaded on an graphics card overclocker tool and have got the fan running on it again. Temperature is down to 34 degrees Celsius and the light is off again. (Note nothing is overclocked on this system)

Not sure how long it was like that. Although I notice both my F@H slots on this computer are now reporting failed.

I have changed the resolution going to my monitor to 1920x1080 as it was in 4K Resolution (I got a 32 inch Samsung 4K monitor a few weeks ago) and hope that helps as I can't afford a new video card right now.

Now I need to figure how to get the folding going again on this machine.

Just wanted to chime in here since I have the same GPU as you. The Fan Stop light you are seeing on the 1070 is actually a feature of newer GPUs. What they do is turn off the fan when the GPU is below a set temperature. Most cards set this at either 50C or 60C. The purpose of this is to make the GPU completely silent when you are doing things like browsing the web, doing office work, or watching a video on YouTube. The light is just there to let you know when the GPU is operating in that mode. The fan will kick back on if you are gaming or folding.

I'm pointing this out because the Fan Stop light you are seeing is related to the issue you are having but it's not the cause of the issue so turning the fans back on with overclocking software won't solve anything. The fans just aren't spinning because the card isn't folding properly and that means it's not generating enough heat to kick the fans on.

It looks like you have already solved your problem with different drivers but I wanted to point this out for future reference.

Well...my home setup has gone to crap apparently. Checked the stats this and realized I've generated almost nothing for a few days now.

Got home, checked the logs, and just getting this over and over. No changes in home setup or network in weeks. Anybody have any ideas?

The error log says that Stanford is not responding. That usually means one of two things:

1. The server is down
2. The FAH client's ability to phone home has been cut off

The work server is responding to pings but it isn't responding to HTTP or HTTPS requests so I'm guessing the web server portion of the work server is down.

As it turns out, I'm having a similar problem with the same server! It is timing out on an HTTPS connection and the server is "actively refusing" an HTTP connection. Fortunately for me, I'm part way into a unit so I'm still folding.

It looks like you have two WUs in your work queue that might be causing problems. Queue entry 00 is ready to Send, but as you saw, it isn't able to send. There is a thread over on the Folding Support forum about the 134.139.52.2 & 134.139.52.3 servers not accepting Work. Re: unable to upload to 134.139.52.2 or 134.139.52.3

Regarding Work Queue entry 03, that looks like it probably needs to be released to allow someone else to process it. There was a good write-up on how to make this happen earlier in our Folding thread.

Congrats to Foxbat for reaching 800 Million Points. :everybodydance
Well, at least one thing went my way today! Woo-hoo!!!

Looks like I have the place to myself for a week, then Scorpy crashes through, and a week after that, Voyager6. Make sure you turn off the lights leaving 700 MegaPoints Voyager6, lest people think we burn energy for no good reason... ;)
