I find it about as easy to pull out my credit card and insert it as to pull out my iPhone and press buttons.

I use it at our local movie theaters (Cinemark, mostly). I reach into my pants pocket, double tap with my thumb as I pull out my iPhone, and bring it up to the terminal, which makes a most satisfying bing. And Kohl's now that I put my wife's card on my phone.

Even though Subway is supposed to work, the readers at our local Subways don't like my iPhone 6. I'm waiting for CVS to pick it up, but Walgreens in Sedona worked. Also, our local Ace just updated their readers so it's supposed to work there. Best Buy works, as does Staples.

Hmmm, Target takes Apple Pay online, but not in their stores. Odd.

True, but one day you will learn that an Apple watch allows you to avoid pulling out your iphone at all. With the new Apple watch 3 you can even leave the iphone at home. I haven't used it yet but I understand you can now voice your text responses with the watch.

But my favorite new feature is siri. " Hey Siri- What is the cube root of 65? She responds in both numbers and her voice: "The answer is approximately 4.02073"
How many light years is the nearest star? Now that she will ask you to look for the answer on the iphone. Siri is good at math problems but I don't believe she ever took astrophysics in college. :D

Good point about the watch. But I haven’t worn one in so many years, I don’t know I’d feel comfortable with a few bulky ounces hanging there.

I suspect the medical aspects will get me sooner or later.

Hmmm, not good. I went to CineMark Movies 14 to see "Justice League" the other day and my iPhone 6 got a "Reader Error" on the NFC terminal, just like Ace Hardware and Subway. I think it';s time to admit my phone may be dying. Or, maybe iOS 11.2 is rendering parts of it unusable. Hmmm...

I guess I need to go see the new Star Wars movie to test out my theory!

I don't use Apple Pay too often. However, a few days ago I stopped at a BestBuy store to buy some stuff and it was only at the register when I realized that I left my wallet in the car. What a bummer! But then it suddenly hit me that I could pay with my phone. I was so glad I had Apple Pay and the store accepted it! :)

The guy I gave my Apple watch0 to, used to avoid wearing a watch and claimed he didn't feel comfortable either. But now he wears the watch I gave him all the time. He is a techy kind of guy so it took the Apple watch to convert him.

I had just put a new battery in my iphone6+ and was running some stress tests on the new battery run time and realized that the phone needed charging in the morning and I forgot to bring it along for the day traveling. But the new Apple watch 3 works well without the iphone. I actually didn't miss not having the phone for a day out and about.
