Had the chance to "go out" today and work on my dishes with the same model meter! Didn't take long to find out how much easier it is to skew the LNBs on the ku dishes, and to tune-up the signal. Like Scott said somewhere earlier, the armstrap holding the meter is great...in it's case it didn't mind a few raindrops, and I was outside with it "on" for about an hour with plenty of battery remaining. (no motors to drive, by the way.) Changed out my diseqc switch, an 8-place so the system has a fresh one, and swapped the microHD for the Amiko Mini. So far, so good! Next purchase: the Titanium motor drive which I think will give me the missing "oomph" which sometimes keeps the Birdview from moving when you first ask it to go....and the system should be in good shape! Trying to decide what other (ku) sats to aim at now. Have a fixed 103 Birdview, Fixed 103ku, Motorized BV, Fixed 125 ku, Fixed 97ku, one current spare Ku, and a larger spare ku for the Spring, then one more Birdview perf to install and one up by the house to wire-in on separate system.
Don't know if E-scapes is still available FTA, but the Amiko could never pull that one out for some reason....and it was an enjoyable channel.
