Yeah ...
It's the "D12" model and higher that are SWiM capable and H25 and higher Genies which are exclusively so.
And yes, the old Sony B55s and others that used the original and now defunct "Master Program Guide" ("MPG"), which ran concurrently with the more modern "Advanced Program Guide" ("APG") in the satellite stream for many years. And was finally removed years ago leaving only the APG used by all receivers today.
Began with the original 1st generation era RCA DRD-102RW and deluxe DRD-203RW back in '95 myself.
Couldn't even receive 110°W/119°W. 101°W only.
But then again, there was no reason to since there was no service from those slots at the time ....lol.
I was a victim of Pegasus once. I cheered when Murdoch sued them out of existence. They were a ripoff with higher programming fees and made up charges like Directv royalty fee. I know it was 2004 when I was free from their territorial monopoly, because Directv say thanks for being a customer since 2004 when I call in. I actually was a customer since about 2 months after they went national in the 90's. I paid 899 at Sears for a dual lnb dish plus 1 box. It was back in the olden days when you had to buy the equipment yourself. It was worth every penny being in a rural area with no cable.
I remember buying my 1st set up as well, old single LNB (101) RCA recvr .... think it may have been about $600 at the time from Circuit City !

IIRC, the deluxe RCA receiver, a DRD-203RW, was about $800. Yet all it had over the $600 standard DRD-102RW, was an extra set of analog A/V outputs (phono connectors of course).
And both a 25 pin DB25 "high speed," and a 9 pin "low speed" DB9 serial data connector. Whereas the standard receiver only had the high speed DB25 one. Was never sure what the low speed serial port was for, but used the high speed ones for digital control from two ReplayTV standalone DVRs I had at the time.
Anyway, had a total of 5 RCA receivers connected to a 101°W round dish through two parallel 2x4 electromechanical multiswitches by Channel Master.
Bought everything from a third-party reseller who handled the installation plus an outside antenna as DIRECTV carried no locals back in '95 at the time for a total of $4000 after labor and taxes.
