Last night's episode wasn't terrible. That's a good thing. good riddance Simon...Wonder what will happen with Dwight?
Like any cockroach, he'll find a way to live.

Hopefully next week's episode wraps things up, but I'm guessing we'll be another cliffhanger like at the end of last year.

It was decent again but it doesn't take much for them to be better than other episodes lately. There were some good scenes but plenty of eye roll scenes as always. These writers are just not that good.

I really hope they can actually have a great finale instead of what I think they will do.

Evidently next weekend is a "Crossover Event" with AMC showing both the Walking Dead season finale and Fear season premiere.

'Walking Dead' Season 8 Finale and 'Fear' Crossover to Air in Theaters
"Sunday, April 15, marks an epic and highly anticipated moment for these series, as worlds collide when Morgan (Lennie James) crosses over from The Walking Dead and into the new world of Fear,” said Theresa Beyer, senior vp brand activation at AMC. “We are thrilled to be working with our terrific partners at Fathom to provide fans from across the country the opportunity to experience this crossover moment in such a special way and among other members of one of television’s most passionate fan communities.”

Following the season eight finale of the flagship series, James will move over full time to Fear as a series regular as the spinoff undergoes a massive makeover.

Any guesses as to what's tie-in's the two episodes will have?

That finale... Really??? That's how you end it after 2-1/2 seasons of his BS??? :coco I just can't. I can't.

Spoilers..........

Now if Rick would have let him die people would bitch about that too. At this point the show will get slammed no matter what.

A guy I work with hated it but admitted he would have hated it more if Negan would have died. I said maybe you hate the show. He agreed. So now this makes the 3rd time he has quit watching it.

I think people can't stop watching because they love to pick it apart. Hell it's just a TV show.

Do you know what would be ironic? If TWD does a time jump to bring in the Whisperers.
I have a feeling they'll be skipping that arc. Partially for logistic reasons, as making the Whisperers work is much harder (and unbelievable) on tv, and because of the helicopter which would be from the arc that follows the Whisperers.

Did see a funny rumor though, that the Fear cast would be the Whisperers and Madison would be Alpha, as if she couldn't be more unlikable.

More like FTWD will face the Whisperers.

I don't think anyone will. A concept like that won't work on tv, in the comics sure, just not on screen.

Personally I think that turning the Fear characters into the Whisperers would be a great story idea, since no one likes them anyway and Madison is remorseless to other. I just can't see the "look" working on tv.

btw, while speculating on the next set of villians is great, let's try not to get too into too many details from the comics, to where we're getting into spoilers. Granted, with Carrrrl gone the story will have to be completely different.

just came across this link
Fans think Whisperers are coming to Fear Walking Dead

So looks like you might be right. If so, I think I'll carry the Whisperer conversation over to the Fear thread. Be interesting to see how that look works in motion.

Which means Rick & the gang will likely skip them and head to the next big enemy.
Perhaps they are testing out how the Whisperers plotline would work out on FTWD, before they jump it over to TWD.

I don't know, a big problem with Fear has been lack of good plots (along with unlikable characters or course).

I see it as a way to give them a plot (the Whisperers) and give the mothership the next plot, which would tie in with the helicopters and the group in the van with the books.
ie the Commonwealth

The Maggie story line is interesting in that last I read Lauren Cohan is not yet signed for season 9. In fact, she's signed to an ABC pilot. She could do both, the pilot may not get picked up, etc. Who knows??

I have a bad feeling they won't pay her what she feels she's worth. Rumor is that's why they got rid of Carl, as the actor was turning 18 and able to demand more money.

Seems like they made Maggie "more important" in order to get her to stay. This whole pilot thing is laughable - do people realize how many shows run pilots and never make it ? Or even nowadays, shows get a green light from a network and get cancelled after 3, 4, or so episodes.
