Timeless

That's Lucy all right, that's one of the things I like about this show.

I like the fact that Lucy is so real, no fancy super-hero, well yes and no,

Last season, I remember she climbed up a window to rescue the other guy who was tied up in a chair., and as soon as she climbed up the window, she fell down on the other side, :D :D not exactly the dramatic entrance you'd expect from any super-hero, but that's just Lucy and

I Love Lucy ;)

Netflix now has the TV show that NBC ripped off to make Timeless. "Ministerio del Tiempo" (Ministry of Time). This is a show from Spain. It's pretty good, though, like "Timeless", I grew tired of the time inconsistencies really fast.
The main difference between the original concept for "Timeless" and "Timeless" itself is that the Spanish show has no need of a fancy time ship, or any technobabble dealing with temporal anything. It's a dungeon of doors. Each door leads to a specific relative point in time (with a few exceptions where the door on the other side is stuck on a particular day- as a plot device).
The show follows a team of three intrepid individuals (two males, one female) in their travels through time to "fix" history.
It's subtitled in English. It should be subtitled in Spanish too for those of us from the Caribbean. Those Castilians can definitely rattle on!
On another note. The word "Tiempo" in Spanish can mean time or weather. So it's great cover. When the group is talking about the ministry of time, it can be heard as something a innocuous as "the weather bureau."

Based on comments above, I'll try to watch at least the first episode.

I saw that show on Netflix, I had a hunch it was the original "timeless" but as I started watching I just couldn't continue.

Spanish language movies or series are not my favorites, but I have to make an effort to listen to European Spanish, even though I understand it, I don't like how it sounds.

But anyway, thanks for the comments above, the dungeon doors concept sounds interesting, so I'll try to watch.

I'm checking on the "original Timeless" mentioned above, and I find amusing that the team is comprised of people from different eras.

The Lucy equivalent from what 1800's?, the 21st century paramedic and a soldier' from the 1600's

Interesting to see that they work their time travel job from 9 to 5 (local time? whatever that means in a time travel show

Then at the end of their shift, they go to their homes (each one to his, her own century) to have dinner and spend the night at home.

I now realize that the "original Timeless" has a lot of differences with the Lucy Timeless.

I find amusing that on the Spanish version, they can use mobile phones to call from one century to another, and that in addition to the main team there are time travelers all over history or should I say people who work for the Time Ministry, based in any year you could imagine.

So a guy in the 1500's has a PC with internet connection to report to the boss in the year 205, and they can skype from one century to another without any problem.

They smuggle things from one era to another, and they have no problem whatsoever in saving a loved one (in the past) who is supposed to die.in the future.

And also I like that they can look the other way, when someone does that.

I would like to know why Jia keeps seeing in her visions the Golden Gate Bridge being destroyed ,in what looks to have been a nuclear bomb and then she sees it looking normal again. How is this premonition going to affect the future ?
