XM Preview 5-14 to 5-29.jpg

Funny thing is I have 3 radios subscribed and have an old stand alone radio that the screen died on many moons ago and they still send me offers to re-subscribe that radio and notices for free previews. My company car has siruis in it, but no subscription so I like these free previews for that.

No free preview on our 2016 Outback. Just a loop telling us they are offering a great subscription deal right now.

Did you try changing channels. It is only previewing certain channels. If not, you might need a "hit." That was the case in my 08 Ford, which did not get free previews either. Then we took one of their win back offers and got it on there and they gave it a "hit." Not sure if they will do that for a preview. Worth a call. On until Tuesday. My company car is a 13 Ford Taurus, which has never had a subscription and it works fine on the preview.

You’re right. We did that yesterday and got a few stations. Only one comedy station though, and it quit working after about three hours. “Not available.” No loss, half those comedians better have a day job.

We’ve listened to a 40s station for a while.

Couldn't find the list of channels on this free listen even.

However from what I read in the Canadian site, sounded like all channels were available, in the past only a limited number of channels have been included in the free listen event.

I will check on my stand alone radio later, but right now I'm listening on line and I have been able to listen every single channel I've tried.

SiriusXM announced today it will make its wide array of content available for free for the first time on both its satellite and streaming platform as part of the introduction of a new SiriusXM app, which delivers a wholly new streaming experience that includes expanded programming, greater discovery, more intuitive recommendations and the introduction of SiriusXM Video.

SiriusXM content will be available for free for a limited time from May 14th to May 29th for anyone with an inactive satellite radio, or who has an internet connected mobile device and/or web access. Any non-subscriber in the United States and Canada can tune in to sample SiriusXM seamlessly, without any registration requirements.

Sorry it just took changing channels. We didn’t actually know how.

When we got the Outback, we had several SXM stations as presets. Those disappeared along the way, after the initial free listening period ended. So when I fiddled with the unfamiliar controls, I saw the List option and everything fell into place.

We like the Escape channel. A comedy channel was back today, LaughUSA. Again, many of the comics had best have other sources of income.

We’d never pay for it. It might be nice for our trip from VA to MN this August, but we have many other sources of traveling entertainment, and terminating is such a hassle. I remember from years ago, and recent posts I’ve read say they haven’t changed.

You are fortunate. My 300 radio didn't act like that. After my 1 year promo, all but two channels disappeared, even during the free listen periods. I didn't sub for a year or more, partly because of the cost, and party because of the marginal audio quality. I even called to ask why I couldn't tune to any free channels, and of course the CSR had no idea and thought some radios don't have free listen periods. (I'm skeptical.) Maybe a "hit" would have fixed it. I have no idea at this point.
