Can we keep track of new ATSC 3.0 stations going on the air?

The evaluation part may be why that is so. If it hadn't been classed that way, things may have been much different, no?

As a matter of perhaps peculiar interest, is this a Korean domestic market piece or did it come with a 110V power configuration (Korea uses 220VAC wall sockets)?

As for the the first question, Customs doesn’t really care why, they just want to know what it is being imported. As for the second, this box is definitely intended for the Korean market but uses the same bandplan for OTA we North Americans have. The power supply supports 110 to 200 something, all I needed was a plug converter

No thank you On the box offer I just get out my vfo witch works rather well with my 4K lol

Feel free to step up.

Given that there are only a couple dozen or so tuners in all of the US (including those used by the TV stations and the ATSC promotors), you can't expect a lot of followers or help from the field with real-world data. The presence of carrier signals isn't a sure sign of Next-gen goodness.

According to ATSC 3.0's website now saying Santa Barbara, CA ATSC 3.0 TV station is now on the air. This a small DMA TV market near L.A. metro areas.:)
The station is KEYT-3.0 or XD rf CH. 17.

Not sure what the FCC has set for the call letter KEYT-?? when broadcasting in ATSC 3.0 mode?

And still no publicly available ATSC 3 tuners?

My local ATSC 3.0 stations lost their license due to not being able to keep their equipment up and running. They're now simulcasting one of the secondary station's DTV signals.

I'm baffled as to how anyone managed to shoe-horn in a channel anywhere near LA.

KEYT in Santa Barbara announced that they will be testing ATSC 3.0 but can not verify that they are on the air. Kicked two nearby stations (KCOY and KKFX) off the local translator (KSBB-CD), no more OTA reception as primary transmitters are way over the hill from us.

There's perhaps the option of calling the station and asking to see a demonstration.

If someone doesn't offer a choice of US market ATSC 3.0 receivers pretty soon, I believe this whole Next Gen thing stands a non-negligible chance of being stillborn. The repack and the absence of a way to view what is there represents pretty substantial pressure to fail.

It has been a while since I've seen any cheerleading activity from the proponents but we're only 50 days away from CES.

Set, Schmet.

STBs is where the action will be.

ATSC 3.0 Tuners are out there being testing.
Of course I'm talking about consumer-ready production pieces, not proof-of-concept mock-ups.

With due respect to navychop, a lot of people don't want to mess with STBs and having to figure out yet another remote code set to integrate into their universal remotes. As long as DTV converters have been around, perhaps none used them willingly. The secret is going to be in tuners that are integrated into something.
