Nascar 2018

I love road course nascar racing.

I agree...I've always enjoyed them, too. Probably helps that the drivers I've rooted for over the years have all been good on the road courses. (Labonte, Stewart, Harvick)

Yesterday's ended up pretty sedate and turned into mostly pit strategy. 78 snookered us pretty good, so props to them for the acting job. I think the 4 & 14 would have had a better chance to stay out and wait for the 78's tires to equalize, rather than stopping again and gambling on the caution, but oh well. Guess we're in a good place when second and third is disappointing. hehe

Why did they have windshield wipers on the cars?

They always have wipers and rain tires on hand for the road course races, since they can run those races in the rain. Cup hasn't done much of that, but there have been several Xfinity road course races that ended up running in wet conditions.

I think teams have the option of just having the wiper motor installed, and be in position to install the wiper blade on same pit stop they would install the rain tires, but many teams just go ahead and have the wiper installed. Knowing today's Cup teams, they've probably studied the aero advantages of having the blade installed and in a certain place.

And today Kyle Busch's brother Kurt Busch wins the race for Kyle ....
With Larson gaining ground quickly on Kyle in the last few laps, the Lap down Kurt Busch slides up in front of Larson causing him to have to slow way down and lose any momentum he had .... Larson still catches Kyle ... would have probably been by him easily had he not been slowed by Kurt.
