Anybody around the mid-Michigan~ area got a 1.2 meter METAL satellite dish they don't want anymore? I have a fiberglass one, but it's too heavy for my new needs. I'm looking for a metal one, and it needs to be 4 ft in size.

Ok, if no 1.2m dish, does anybody have a 6ft or 7.5ft Unimesh style mesh c-band dish they don't want anymore? I can't fit a 10 footer on my lot, so a smaller dish might work if it's mesh, and is black color or could be painted black to blend into the background better. I know I'd be limiting myself, but there's no choice.

I actually have a spare polar mount from an old 6ft Unimesh dish that got a tree branch dropped on it and the panels were crushed. So, if anybody even has good panels for a Unimesh 6 footer, maybe they could be boxed and shipped?

I could trade you a Prodelin 6ft composite dish on a fixed mount. That dish is very heavy. Stellar for signal for somebody that wants the ultimate KU dish.

Solid panel simlar but its not thin like what they used. This was older than what they offered. Had custom lnb arms made up.

Thanks Dan, I'll need see-through type mesh panels for a dish that's larger than I have now, to help blend into the background in our new neighborhood. The pole had to be placed too close to the street, and there's not many ways to camouflage it.

There is a lot of c band dishes around here. Keep it in mind. Your welcome prime. Gazebo could be made around it. Patio umbrella with a patio set.

The construction company working on the house next door used a 65' man lift (600lb capacity) to set trusses on the house. $400 /day.
I guess I should call you "Sir" if you can wrestle a 10' satellite dish off a pole and carry it down. Someone could operate the lift from the ground controls...

Gubmint safety guidelines dictate using a lift to disengage the assembly from the pole and a crane to yard it off and lower it down.

"Sawzall" and "intact" should never be used in the same sentence.

You are always a real ray of sunshine aren't you? YES, it can and HAS been done with a Sawzall and rope, and the dish brought down intact. It's all tied off, and the pole is cut partway through, and the whole thing is then lowered down like it's on a hinge. Myself and another guy used to install 40' antenna towers, fully intact, by lifting them up this way with a rope. No difference going back down. He'd walk along the tower levering it up, as it was going up from me being on the roof and pulling it up by the rope.

As for your comment about picking off a 10' dish and carrying it down a lift, I myself have lifted a 10" mesh Perfect 10 dish and walked up a ladder and put it on a 7' pole. Two guys would have NO PROBLEM doing so if they are careful. They aren't nearly as heavy as you seem to think. Unwieldy, yes, heavy, no. 3 guys could easily get this dish down with a Sawzall and rope, if nothing is in the path going down, guaranteed.
