Frustrated by numerous program guide issues

New series "Carter" on WGN. Episode 1 last week worked fine. This week's episode 2 looks OK, but next weeks entries have no episodes assigned and all instances are scheduled to record.

The guide for Fox News Channel (205) is messed up for this coming Friday. The guide shows the correct shows. However, if you have a timer set for a daily show, none of the timers are set for Friday.

The problem with Fox News Channel now occurs into Saturday and Sunday programming. It seems to be fixed on Monday. The problem is also occurring for ESPN on Friday.

Like others have said, you have to check your timers daily if you do not want to miss recordings.

Correction. The problem was fixed starting Monday. Now the problem occurs for shows on Monday as well. Its fixed starting Tuesday.

BattleBots timer is broken again this week. They changed the show name again.

Yeah, they changed it back to "Battlebots on Science", and yet, it DOESN'T get caught by my timer I set a few weeks ago for "Battlebots on Science", not even as a non-new episode. And it has no episode numbers or dates and only the sparsest generic description.

WHY ARE HEADS NOT ROLLING FOR THIS SORT OF PROBLEM?!

Similar to the issue I noted on the new series "Carter" on WGN, the series "Shooter" on USA has been working fine, but the scheduled shows for next week do not contain episode numbers and all occurrences are scheduled to record.

It seems the new guide provider doesn't provide that info until just a few days before air date when it should be provided imeaditately

If that was always the case, it would affect all timers. If not a new issue, it seems to be spreading.

Hopefully, someone on the DIRT Team will take note and pass on the frustration. It would be nice to know that Dish is at least addressing the issue.

We seem to have a trend developing. Similar to the issue with the "Carter" and "Shooter" series. "Killjoys" on SYFY, the timers are OK for this week but next week, no episodes are entered and all occurrences are scheduled to record.

Try this timer, you won't believe it. (does this deserve it's own post???)

Select the Bengals at Cowboys game Saturday night at 8PM on NFL channel from the program guide and enter using the default. It gave me 14 games in my scheduled timers, 49 total with conflicts. Most were other games.

The meta data is obviously screwed up.

I came upon this trying to decipher the confusing results of what default occurs for each timer.

Metadata issues aside, I still think it has something to do with the logic as well. My Dish Pass timer searching for "Battlebot" and only recording new episodes has worked flawlessly for me this entire time.

In addition to all of the timers on Fox News Channel breaking starting tomorrow and lasting through next Tuesday, the timers are also missing for the following: Wild 'N Out (MTV), First Take (ESPN) and Outcast (Cinemax).

The following shows will have extra timers. Some of these may have already been mentioned: Queen of the South (USA), Shooter (USA), Snowfall (FX), The Payes (OWN) and Carter (WGN).

I don't think this forum is still monitored.
...or at least, this thread isn't being monitored. 95 posts in (with this post being number 96) and there is still not a single user in red (DIRT member) listed under Users Who Have Read This Thread. If you want a DIRT member to take notice of this, you will have to start a conversation with one, and provide them a link to this thread.

So far today, everything on this list has been fixed except Outcast and Wild 'N Out.

That may be true, but Dish employees could very well be reading, either as a sat guys member, or not. Maybe even Chuck. :)

I have 6 timers for BattleBots, 2 are triggering this week to record a total of 6 episodes. Hopefully the 1 new episode will be included.

I only have 2 timers, one is (as of last night) triggering to record the new episode. Also, the new episode got renamed back to "BattleBots" rather than "Battlebots on Science" and got a description.
