How do I setup the RC73 remote to turn on/off ONLY the TV without turning on/off my Mini Genie. I don't want my Mini Genie to turn off, I want it to stay ON all the time!

I know that I can do that with the TV remote.

I got a new 65" LG which is a piece of JUNK. It take 30 second for the picture to appear on the screen if I turn on the TV and the Directv at the same time, LG of course blames Directv. I have another 65" Samsung and the picture appears within 2-3 seconds of turning on the Directv and the TV. If I leave the Directv on with the LG the picture turns on practically instantaneously.

No one said anything about this crappy LG TV, anyway it goes back to Costco.

Where is the pickup for the IR on a mini?.....Cover it with some black tape, and make sure mini isnt set up to RF?

Thanks, I already figured that out. I like the remote to be setup in RF mode.

I have inadvertently found that happens on mine if I just push the "on" button on the remote. The TV goes on and off, but the Genie Mini stays on.

Chris, nice find, contrary to all the "experts". It doesn't make sense but it does work, the Mini stays ON! BTW, it looks like it works the same way on the HR54. Unfortunately, the crappy LG TV goes back. BTW, one of the HDMI inputs just died on the TV and it is only 2 weeks old, great reliability LG!

Though a desirable outcome in your case, it's probably not an intended feature. Therefore it possibly may not work the same on your next TV. Your mileage may vary.
