That LSU vs Miami game is the most intriguing one of the bunch IMO.

Ohio State transfer Joe Burrow came in and easily won the starting QB job (Jimbo was right). I’m anxious to see what he does. I’m hearing nothing but good things from his current, and ex, teammates. Tiger D should be solid. Miami will be a tough test to start the season though.

I find this to be an interesting game ...
If I'm home, I'll be watching it.
Burrow's never really had a chance while at Ohio State being behind JT Barrett ... Meyer was never gonna make a QB change with JT around, even though others could THROW the ball while Barrett tried.
I don;t know what happened with Barrett because he was a very good passer as a Freshman and was never as good after that ... I do know why .... the coaching carrasal between OC and QB coaches change every year it seams and the WRs were not getting any better as the years went on ...
2nd year WR Micheal Thomas is a star in the NFL with the Saints, but had what I would call a very avg career while with the Buckeyes ....

It is all about th U.
Not really ....
They havent really been relevent since 2002 ish....
Last year they had a good year .... will they do it again ? Who knows .... if they continue to be in the top 10 consistantly, THEN it might be about Miami.

1 good season doesnt make you a top dog in this league.

Depends on perception and name recognition.

0 good season's seem to make some teams top dogs, otherwise why does USC get ranked so high at the start of every year only to fall away. Same can be said for several other teams, ie. Texas, Notre Dame, etc...

A lot of times the ranking is higher because of the Coach ...
Ohio State wouldn't be as high if Urban wasn't there...
Bama wouldn't be as high if Saban wasn't there.
Texas is ranked as high as they are because of Tom Herman ...
USC .... well .... hmmm not sure.

First full Saturday is here! My couch and multiview viewing are set to go with Gameday starting in about 15.

Go Blue!!
This will be the first look at Harbaughs choice for QB ...
Its odd, this is his 4th year (I think thats right,) and he hasn't had a qb hes chosen or his type .... and this one is a Transfer.
I thought he was this big QB guru guy.
I guess you become a QB Guru when you have a Arron Luck fall into your hands.

Btw, I see thier former QB also has a Starting position in the Pac conference.

Well, while guru is up for debate. Colin kapernick was most successful under Harbaugh. In regards to college, yes the QB position has been inconsistent. He helped Jake Rudock to at least get a crack at the NFL. I have good feelings about this season and what Shea Paterson can do. I guess we shall see

It’s been a good day of college ball, looking forward to the evening games
