Last and Next UHD Movie

Friday: Star Wars: The Last Jedi

Always enjoyable

Saturday: Ready, Player One

I really liked this movie. All of the 80's references were great. Sound and video were well done. Bet this looks great in 3D.

Last: Avengers: Infinity Wars

I had not seen it. Not what I was expecting. Good movie, though.

Last: Skyscraper

My preorder came this afternoon. Fun movie. Audio and video were really good.

Last: Equalizer 2

Good audio and video. I liked it, but it wasn't as good as the first.

Next: Too many too choose from. We'll see.

Last: The Predator and Fallen Kingdom

Both were just OK. The audio on Predator was much better than Fallen Kingdom. Fallen Kingdom just seemed kind of muted. I have yet to have a great experience with DTS:X soundtracks.

Next: ???? (Maybe Deadpool 2)

Last: Incredibles 2

Not as good as the first, but enjoyable. Video was spectacular. Audio was usual Disney holding back.

Last: Venom

Sony knows how to do audio on a Marvel movie. Listening Disney?

Next: Deadpool 2

Last Weekend: Mary Poppins Returns

Movie was just OK. I prefer Julie Andrews in the role. Wish she would have had a cameo like Dick Van Dyke.

Last Night: Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

I think I enjoyed it more than the first time. Looked great with the 820's tone mapping.

Next: Crimes of Gridelwald

Last: Crimes of Grindelwald

Really good movie. Now wait for the next. Top notch audio and video.

Watched Bohemian Rhapsody on Sunday.
Sound is really nice on this one. Full range and enveloping. Not the typical explosion stuff.
Music was great, as were the performances. However, the story is overly melodramatic and kind of predictable. Just way too pat how all the disasters get resolved the morning of the Live Aid concert.
I wish they had more complete songs though.

We saw Mary Poppins Returns in the theater. Enjoyed it, but I felt no need to buy the disc. Kind of a funny once and I ask myself why I would watch this one when the original is available and much better.
