Interesting and maybe more than rumor and vaporware. I believe the talk DirecTV will soon merge the delivery platforms into one. The box along with the testing USB OTA dongle seems to give it credence.

They need it badly!

There are so many customers out there who don’t get the whole concept of using a roku for Tv or can figure out how to download the app and sign in.

This way they mail the customer a box, the customer plugs it in, hooks up an HDMI cable and enters their WiFi username and password.

Even Comcast needs one of these boxes for their instant Tv service.

People don’t get it. You can’t sell cable service by sending them a username and password.

They expect a set top box.
