So I have a channel master offset dish .75M. Currently fixed at 99* Galaxy 16. I may not have time to get my pole into the ground before it freezes for my motorized system. So I thought it might be fun to try using a two or three LNB setup.

From what I can tell this is possible but it appears that the closet you can get is about 4 degrees?

I tried searching but I can't really cant find much about my offset dish.

Is it simple as buying or fabing up a bracket?

What can I expect to get if my dish is fixed at 99?

Thank you

yes 4 degrees should be ok but a bit tight. With that dish you could add a LNBF for 95W (Chinese TV in Mandarin, Cantonese, English, French and Spanish) and 103W (NHK, CCTV, RT in English, NBC and Cozy if you're lucky)

You can find some adapters, but might be just as easy to fabricate one. Just keep in mind that you'll need to adjust the elevation too, unless your entire dish rotates for skew like the Dish Network and DirecTV dishes do

I'm skeptical about getting 4 degrees reliably on a 75cm dish. At the very least I would expect to have to use the special LNBs that they used to sell to get 101W and 97W on a 90cm dish.

I easily got 6 degrees on a no-name 76cm dish when I was getting started. I had them pointed at 91W, 97W, and 103W. I tried moving the 103 LNB over to 101 once but I could only get one transponder at very reduced power while still getting most of the 103 transponders at slightly reduced power. This was with standard LNBs and a widely-available at the time multi-LNB bracket that didn't really fit my dish arm properly but thankfully had a lot of adjustment points.

Simple enough if you like to work with metal. :)This is how I make them. IMG_20170827_121502 (Large).jpg IMG_20170827_121515 (Large).jpg Of course, there are many other ways.
For really tight multifeeds you better use narrow LNBFs, like ALPS or Inverto Multiconnect. ALPS.jpg

If it is an elliptical 75cm Channel Master, you could use a Shaw Direct quad LNB. Designed to receive 107w and 111w. It is a dual 4deg LNB with built in switch with 4 outputs. You need to make sure you get an older Ku LNB with a standard LO, not the newer xKu model.

103 seems like there is more content along with music. I thought about as a test getting some stiff but pliable wire and jock strapping something to the dish with my spectrum analyzer to see if I can pull 103 in. If I'm successful I'll post details.

Sent from my SM-G935V using the SatelliteGuys app!

XKu lnb would work fine. Just have to change the L.O. in the receiver for the offset lnb.

With a typical LNBF, I could get six-degree spacing on my 90cm dish. 103W center, 97W, 91W all came in well

For four-degree spacing, I switched to skinny LNBFs. 103W, 99W, 95W, 91W all come in fine, but it might be tough on a smaller dish.

I figured I'd include the pics so you could see the weird ways to add LNBs.

Edit: I'd recommend 103W centered, and 97 or 95 offset. 95% of what I watch FTA is 103W, usually NHK which is on a strong TP. It takes a little fine tuning to get all four time zones of NBC plus Cozi. If you're dead-on-perfect with a 75cm, you might get NBC news feeds NC-1 through NC-12. Some of the stuff they have is duplicated on 91W (ABC NewsOne) so you won't really have to worry about shooting for that one on the same dish. 97W has the huge pile of world/religious channels, with some decent English-language stuff to watch (there's a recent thread somewhere on it).95W has CGTN and CCTV Documentary in English or subtitled.

Here in Europe we have for lineair signals UNIVERSAL DUO lnb's for 19.2 and 23.5 E for 60 cm and other ones for 80 cm offset dishes
Also TRIPLE versions for 19.2 and 23.5 and 28.5 E
