There's a number of things that can cause the signal to go in and out. Is 87W the only satellite doing it? A tree partially blocking your line of sight to the satellite could cause it. If that's the case, it would explain your temporary loss of signal when there's a breeze blowing. Can you receive the satellite on either side of 87W with no signal drop out? A little more information would be helpful. :)

yes, i have a clearview of the arc, i do receive satets 91west and 78west. 87w is in between those satellites.

At my home in Jamaica I had the 87w channels work in the day but all showed no signal at night. Even though this was the KU side signal was not strong enough to get PBS channels though. But Florida channel, MTA, News Feeds worked during the day but at night gone I don't know what causes it though

I've seen that happen with a broken center conductor inside a coax. The temperature change would make or break the connection. It can also happen if an F-Connector wasn't properly installed on a coax. I never used screw on connectors either. They didn't work well on cables that carried voltage. I can't tell you how many I changed over the years. :)

It was only happening with that Sat though when I swung the dish back to 103w all is well same LNB same connection

I'd check to make sure the cable isn't getting stretched or pinched when you move the dish. I always leave an extra foot of cable at the elevation bar to allow for the dish traveling across the arc. That way the cable has plenty of room to flex. If everything inside the house and at the dish checks out, it could be a faulty piece of cable.

Have you tried taking a receiver and a TV out to the dish and hook it up to see if it does it with a different piece of cable? You could eliminate a lot of guess work that way. :) If you have a tuning meter, you could use it instead of a TV and receiver. I have a couple, both with video and audio. :) At this point, it's a process of elimination.

I did use a different cable to catch the Sat with a satlink 6906 which as receiver built in. I just gave up on it because the signal on the sat was weak will try it when i go back to Jamaica agian with a PLL Lnbf and see if I get better results or just try to get the Pbs world and create on 125W

I have a SatLink too, but it's useless in bright sunlight. Can't see a darn thing on the screen. :) Works great when it's overcast.

I can relate to that one, bought a newer one though the Freesat V8 but it looks almost identical to the satlink. Will try for 87w Cband when I go back to Jamaica but I really want 97w 99w and 103w C band. Don't know if I can get all that on a 6ft dish but willing to try. Someone said I point the LNBF between 97 and 99w I maybe able to get both Sats with one LNB. Will have to try that one out to see if it works but I also want to get ION Life on 103w. Will have to see how that works out :)

Hope it works out for you. Keep in touch and let us know how it goes. :)

Is everyone having issues with this satellite.
i was able to get all of the retro mux and rev'n tv and others but now iam not able to pick up any of them.
iam able to get walk tv, univison test screen.
I had the same problem with my Linkbox 9000i, but got a 30 dollar gtmedia reciever that really likes that transponder and CW on 91°.... the link box wont even see anything there, but its better on overall scans of nearly everything else

I wasn't having any issues receiving anything on this sat until TONIGHT, Saturday. Now, JUST the Luken mux channels on 4140 V are having the video jumping all over, but the audio is coming in fine. Other channels NOT Luken are working fine.

Signal level is fluctuating a bit, but it shouldn't be doing this. Is anybody else having trouble with this?

My weather here is fine, though cold at 41 degrees F.
That transponder was a few percent weaker for several days, but my linkbox wont even see it, had to scan with a cheap gtmedia reciever
