Manifest (Netflix)

...
Because apparently is not the government, or could it be the shadow government?
....
I think its the shadow government. It's a matter of national security because if the govt. can figure out how to use the time jump and/or gain psychic powers, it can defeat any enemy. And they have to figure it out before any other government does.

My guess -- No govt. official wants to be connected with imprisoning and torturing some of the passengers, so they secretly hired the private contractor 'UDS' to do the dirty work.

The UDS appears to have abducted 11 passengers with no 'ties' to ask questions.
Then, of course, non-relatives start looking for them.

Goin' down the rabbit hole about the same pace as 'Lost'.

Didn't watch "LOST" .... don't ruin it for those that didn't.

When Lost was aired I was hooked into it, I watched the first episodes faithfully, but after a while, it started to seem that it was going around the same thing,
and I started to find it boring, until I jumped ship.

Hope that doesn't happen to me with Manifest.

I'm more concerned about Manifest .... not Lost.

Then I'm super confused about what you meant in your posts. It appears that you were asking us not to ruin Lost for those who didn't see it. No one is spoiling Manifest, we don't know the outcome yet. People are only speculating.

I only watched the first few episodes of 'Lost'. So any of my guesses here are just speculation based on what I saw in previous 'Manifest' episodes.

Are we about to see a change of alliances with Mr. Vance potentially working with Ben, or is it his way to find out what Ben KNOWS and then turn his back on him.
He's already watching him and his phone every day.

Now we know of something called the "Singularity Project", and a researcher who has been working on connecting people's thoughts. But I'm still wondering why they had to shock torture the guy in the previous episode?

1 more episode for the Fall season ... wonder when they will resume ....
Jan, Feb or March ....

This is critical if they want to keep the people that are watching ....

Your gonna quit half way thru the 1st season ?
I’m on the fence right now. I think I am still feeling the burn from the Walking Dead. You know great premier episode then filler till the fall finale then another great episde then spring premier followed by filler episodes then a great cliff hanger season finale. I gave up on this show when Neagan busted the three guys heads in.

Manifest has a great premise but I feel like they are following the usual pattern. We now have all these side mysteries about voices in their heads and the government is now torturing some of the passengers and killing some. Just isn’t what I thought it would be. I was hoping for a real sci-fi reason why they travelled 5 Years into the future and why it happened. So far we are not even talking about that anymore. Kind of like the Walking Dead show never dealt with what caused the zombie virus to break out in the first place. But I may tune back in next year when and if it comes back. Just need a break I guess.

Looks like Manifest is on a 6 week Holiday break, returning on January 7th.
At least we Know when its coming back and its not like April like some have been.

Actually they all traveled 6 weeks six weeks into the future and they're waiting for us to catch up. :)

My only disappointment with the finale is that I think Grace (Ben's wife) is a real nasty b*tch for dumping Ben after all he's been through.

And then they killed off NSA Director Vance, who was a great actor and I liked the way he switched sides.

I'll keep watching it, but I agree with Mike D -- would like more sci-fi than soap opera.

Did the guy that was running the testing lab make it thru or did he die ?
