The guide is messed,,,,,,,,, AGAIN!

Sure you can do switch test, it's called 'Check Installation', but it doesn't force a guide download when it's done. To force a guide download on a Hopper or Wally you make sure nothing is being recorded and nothing is scheduled for the next 30 minutes or so. You then turn off the Hopper and all connected Joeys and a guide download should start within minutes.
Gee that sounds convenient and user friendly.
Never understood why there isn't simply a menu selection to force a guide download but then I've only been writing software since 1979 so what do I know.

Is your guide information wrong, or is it missing? It is user friendly, as I mentioned. If you have an available tuner and the guide needs an update, you should see that free tuner display "guide update" and that is your visual confirmation that the update is occurring.

TiVo/Rovi hasn’t fixed it yet. Just forced an update on my Roamio and HMM is still incorrect. So stuck with a manual timer and wrong show info for tonight’s new Christmas movie.

The Hallmark and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries EPG showing incorrect info is a known issue that's being investigated. My mom religiously watches those channels and I got a phone call earlier and chatted in about it.

Check the TitanTV guide, it looks correct, you can use it to pre-set manual timers by channel and time.

Today was interesting. The overnight update did not fix it except -- between the hours of 11am and 3pm the data was correct; not before and not after so I forced another update and it now appears to be totally correct. Fingers crossed.

Still good this morning. Now maybe eventually they'll figure out that Pauley Perrette is no longer on NCIS and shouldn't be listed as a cast member in the guide.

That happens on many shows. New Criminal Minds still shows Mandy Patinkin as cast and he hasn't been on show for many years.

...except for when it is not actually occurring, in spite of the TV Activity showing a "Guide Update." There was an issue on the Hopper Duo not long ago, where it would show a "Guide Update" on one tuner, and it would completely wreck my ability to use Picture-In-Picture. No matter how long I waited, the "Guide Update" would never finish, and the only way to get back the use of that tuner was to reboot the Hopper Duo. Dish seems to have fixed this issue now, at least for me. On a receiver with a whole lot of tuners, it may not be a big deal to tie up one tuner with a phantom "Guide Update" but on a dual-tuner receiver, it is unacceptable. At the very least, the "Guide Update" should have the lowest priority, so that any attempt to use that tuner for another purpose would automatically stop the "Guide Update" (if one was in fact occurring) and free up the tuner, with no further interaction from the user needed.

Today they had the Rich Eisen show labeled the Dan Patrick show and vice-versa on the RSN. They've been doing that off and on for a couple of weeks. Also TCM displayed "To Be Announced" most of the morning. Difficult to set up timers when they keep screwing up like that.

Yeah my TCM says "To Be Announced" 6 PM - 4 AM right now.
