Received LNB, GSP mini-bud LNB adapter, and conical scaler today. 1.2m dish is supposed to be delivered by courier on Friday.

I am hoping to try and get the LNB set up before then so I can plug-and-play. How do I know which numbers on the LNB to align scaler?

You can't know that stuff with a mini-bud. You mount the C-band LNBF just like a KU one on the dish WITHOUT the conical scalar. Put it on say 99w, and tune in the Lesea MUX as max as you can. THEN you install the conical scalar, and move it slightly in or out to see IF you can get the better signal level. The odds are, the conical scalar will work best right at the end of LNBF, but it's different with each dish, each sat, and maybe even each transponder.

It's real black-art witchery for each situation. However, the better tip I can give you is FIRST install and aim using a KU lnbf, and get that locked in perfectly. THEN install the C-band LNBF and follow the above.

Good luck, you will need it! LOL

Thanks. I'm ready for it. Ku was a challenge for me at first but now I love it. Hopefully the C-band experimentation will prepare me for implementing a very big dish in the not-too-distant future.

My 1.2m dish hasn't arrived yet, so I'm fooling around attaching it to the 90cm just to get the feel for it.

That's also the first signal I got with C-Band on my 90cm dish! Now try 91W, I bet you'll get The Word and maybe ARTS

To be honest, I wasn't expecting to get anything on the 90cm. I was happy to get anything at all. Can't wait to see what I can get on the 1.2m
