If they are not working on any NEW equipment, that should give them time to fix all the bugs in their current equipment or have they laid off all their IT people.
Just a small point Developers are not IT staff, Developers think they are but they ain't getting anywhere near my servers or having admin permission on my network. A friendly message from your CIO.
They weren’t there last year either. Did you go then or are you still trolling.
Since thats 2 years in a row, have they decided that the world doesn't need a hopper with 32 tuners , new graphics and new bugs to deal with
What is the difference between IT types and Developer types. Which are more knowledgeable?
Developers= software
IT= predominantly hardware and maintaining software. At least for me it is.
It is like what I Know of them are they work on computers, internet etc
Developers are the ones who write the software create the applications you see like on the hopper 3 DVR or many other platforms

Developers "create" the problems that IT has to deal with.
IT reports bugs back to developers who attempt to fix their mistakes.
