Well hopefully NC the 113W C band transponders are hotter than the KU band transponders are...Reuters is always rather weak here in NM.

113W is my due south bird but never been a strong one here in Montana. I'm using a 10' perforated CM with an ortho feed with Norsat PLLs.

I'm about 200 miles west of you. I get no signal on that transponder using my 10 foot Winegard. I get 55 other channels fine on 113 W. I receive the Luken mux with a 74 signal level on 87 W. I will miss it next month.

Sounds like we can deduce that 113's strongest footprint is the central and southwest US?

https://www.eutelsat.com/en/satellites/the-fleet/EUTELSAT-113WA-downlink-coverage.html

Eutelsat's coverage map shows 3 different C-band footprints. I think we are "C Band 1" here in the CONUS but I'm not sure..

You are correct, it is apparently on C1 - based on the frequency plan info on http://frequencyplansatellites.altervista.org/SatMex/Satmex_6.pdf .
The Luken transponder is on the CONUS beam, which has its strongest coverage on the Gulf states, and lowest on the northern US states and barely into Canada. That explains why it's not so strong in Montana. This said, I get a rather strong signal here in Connecticut (75% quality on my Amiko miniHDre).

The Eutelsat maps put me in the 42dBW footprint (I think) for SE Kansas. Not as strong as the bubble over the Gulf states, but I'm still hoping for a miracle on my 1.2m dish :D
