YTTV has a 3 hour live tv buffer on Roku devices. While using any Roku that isn’t powered by the tv’s usb, you can pause live tv and then turn off tv to resume watching where you left off. Remember not to hit the home button on the remote after powering off tv. Pause only.
I used this on Directv all of the time but they only had 90 minute live tv buffer.

Another interesting feature that I've stumbled on is if I'm watching, for example, a particular channel during my lunch on my PC browser, if I tune to that channel later that evening on my Roku, I can go back by rewinding within the program that's currently on. I don't know how far back it goes, I've only gone back to the beginning of that particular program. I haven't tested to see if the same thing would happen with the channel I had on the night before when I stop watching. Note, I am not hitting the pause button or recording that program that I can rewind to the beginning in the evening.

I've also noticed that sometimes I can go back within a live program when I'm going back and forth between different channels, watching programs I'm not currently recording. This happened last night while I was watching some college football games. I had missed a play by switching to the World Series, and then when I went back to the college football game, again that I wasn't recording, I was able to rewind to see the play I'd missed.

I noticed the same.
It is pretty consistent if you go back to the channel you were viewing within a few minutes. Your right. That is pretty cool.

Anyone else lost the tile window with ff and rewind with recorded and live tv. Notice both are out on Roku and LG smart tv.

YouTube Channel does not display at the top if video is showing hd or 4k like it did earlier today either.
Must be a bug or they are experimenting with new software?

Must be a glitch but it is a nice one.
No VOD have any commercials watching from Roku Ultra but do show commercial breaks while watching LGTV app.
It has been this way since last night.

I've switched from PSVUE to YTTV and very happy. UI is not near as clumsy and all YTTV is now 60fps just like Vue. No more issues like can't skip through DVR'rd commercials and can actually pause live TV now.

I also discovered Philo TV which has channels not offered like AHC, DIY, history, Science, and TVland. You are forced to watch commercials however with Philo being the only downside, current special $99 for 6 months does compliment YTTV missing channels.

FireTv doesn't work with YTTV yet so using my Roku which I prefer anyway with the volume control Firetv is missing.
One thing some may have noticed at least I have is Roku and Amazon Video have a lip sync issue. Seems to be common with all the Roku's I've tested (3) models so when watching Amazon Prime I switch back to FireTV. This may be on purpose as I stated Google and Amazon not playing together right now.

To my knowledge you can fast-forward any shows you've saved using the Philo DVR function. On demand content is a different story of course, as it is on almost every other TV service.

What Roku models are you using and what's your setup? I have a 2016 Premiere+, which I use every day, connected via HDMI to an older Yamaha surround receiver and have no issues with audio sync on any Roku streaming apps.

My 2016 Ultra in my bedroom, however, has a known sync issue when audio is output via optical cable. However, when I have the Roku's audio settings set to DD (not DTS or DD+), I don't have any sync issues with content in 5.1 Dolby Digital on apps like Netflix or Prime, just on two-channel apps like YouTube TV and PBS. Fortunately, it's not an issue with sports, which is what I'd mostly be watching on my bedroom TV.

I have Roku4 livingroom and stick 3800 with the quad-core bedroom. Only Amazon Prime do I have the lip sync issue with. I may try DD and see if it changes but I don't watch a lot of Prime anyway and when I do I can just use FireTV.

Well, you are right about Philo I just tried some DVR programs and can skip. I must have been on demand and didn't realize it.

Rumor has it they are in negotiations. Would be nice but I do like the volume control on the Roku better and image seems better also. Things I like about FTV is the quick channel recall but I'm used to the YTTV previous channel now.

The new 4k AFTV stick has tv power and volume control. The remote I believe is compatible with previous AFTV models.

5.1 is getting closer. Thanks to a tip at AVS Forum, I've confirmed on my Roku Ultra (2016) I can get 5.1 audio on network VoD shows on ABC, CBS, CW, and Fox. But not on NBC. I haven't had a chance to fully test on cable channels. Of course there's the forced commercial tradeoff. Fingers crossed that when it's fully implemented, it will include live TV and recordings of live TV.

What's odd is I couldn't get 5.1 on those same shows on my Roku Premiere+, also a 2016 model. So obviously still in a testing phase.
