One more thing...the current site displays across the entire width of my screen/browser window. The new site is a fixed width and has lots of blank space on the left and right.

Is it possible to have the Search results automatically sort by newest post first? It has always to me appeared in random order. Still does on the new site.
Check your preferences. In the middle of the preferences under, oddly enough, "Search Options". You can choose between default (probably "relevance") and Most Recent.

Relevance seems to yield the most irrelevant results.

Thanks, don't know how I missed that.

As I have mentioned a few times... nothing has been configured yet. :)

However you may want to give the UI.X 2 style a try. (I did do some tinkering to that one last night, since that will be our main style when done)

As for new ideas, I mentioned this in the thread on the beta forum, but curious if anyone else has experienced a forum using "Infinite Scrolling". Basically, its a format where all posts will continue to load as you scroll through posts in a thread vs. scrolling to the end of page 1, hit a link to page 2, scroll through those, hit a link to page 3, etc. One of the other message boards I frequent has this and I rather like it. Not sure if Xenforo might offer an add-on to make that happen, or if it could be a user preference to have it on or off.

There is no infinate scrolling add on for 2.0.

Also dont think I would add one it as we rely on ad revenue to pay the bills, with infinite scrolling new ads are never loaded meaning a big decrease in revenue and unpaid bills. :D

Did Xenforo 2.x integrate any of the plug-ins into the core system ? Kind of a sh*tty thing to do especially if the plug-in author was making $ from the plug-in but I know it happens with other software.

Heh, never considered that ! I use the 50-posts-per-page viewing option too. If you eliminated that or others I'd understand why.

Same here, but maybe allow it for Pub Members? No ads means no difference between 1 post per page and 100...

As long as it is only an option. I HATE infinite scroll. If I know something I'm looking for is at the bottom of the page, a simple END key and some scroll ups is a lot faster than scrolling one page at a time and waiting for the new content to load multiple times.

Just reinforcing this for when it gets configured.
Also Cameo is the best style I have used anywhere really like it.

I have been practicing being without the Thread display mode setting. Wish we had a choice to go to the newest post first, but oh well. Multiview is a nice feature I will miss. I have six forums in my Multiview that I follow. I have a one desktop icon for Multiview to get to the forums fast. I guess I will have to put six desktop icons to be able to get to the forums the fastest way. Is there something else in the new beta that can replace Multiview?

This is the default behavior if you approach the messages through the "New Posts"/"Recent Posts" feature.

This feature may also take some of the sting out of missing the Multiview option.

Where is the "New Posts" / "Recent Posts" feature in the new Beta?
