How much are Xfinity on Demand Shows and Movies?

I am thinking of not getting a DVR with Comcast. They offer on-demand as part of the standard definition cable box.

How much is a typical movie such as a new release?

How much is a TV show such as a popular one -- say a Walking Dead episode or something?

I figure most things I'll be able to watch live. If I can't, they seem to repeat things enough that I'd get it the next time around. If not, I'd rather just pay to watch it as I need it.

The DVR fee is 20 bucks and I doubt I'd order that much in shows each month.

You will only be able to watch on demand from channels you are currently subscribed to. For example, if you subscribe to A&E, you will be able to watch A&E on demand. Whereas, if you do not subscribe to A&E, then you will not have access to its on demand. There are times were Comcast will run free preview channels for a certain number of days, like HBO for a weekend. You would then have access to that channel's on demand.

As for purchasing shows and movies, it depends on the prices of those shows and movies. Some movies are available .99 and others are 4.99, while others are in between. If you subscribe to Netflix and/or Amazon Prime, then those can be integrated into the X1 box.

I do not expect to receive shows from channels not in my line-up. I am completely fine with that.
I am actually floored that this 'time shifting' is even available. I will gladly pay per episode to time shift here and there if I happen to not be home.
I think this is actually amazing and cannot believe I could potentially 'get away with' not having a dvr!

I am not looking to do anything with netflix or amazon prime. I do not want to hook up internet to my TV.

Will TV shows be between .99 and 4.99 per episode then too?
