DirecTV's picture does not "smoke" Dish and get back to us on that bill in a year. I can't begin to imagine what you possibly had that is $130.00 less per month when most everyone pays less than $130.00 per month
He said DirectTVNow which is streaming I think. I can easily believe that is better quality than Dish satellite. When I watch Amazon Prime video through AppleTV (streaming) the picture beats Dish satellite hands down.

Someone would leave simply because it’s getting too expensive and there are lots of choices now like Netflix and other streaming services now along with mobile phones and divides where people take the service with them with their apps and devices.

Sent from my iPhone using the SatelliteGuys app!

nd it was the bill was going up. They had put me on a 12 month promo, which brought it down to $162. And yes, the picture quality is wayyyyy better.

Here's mine. First, You're paying an extra $60 bucks a month for America's Everything Pack, which I don't know everything that has beyond the Top 250 and I don't care what you say, you will not convince me that DTV's picture "is waaaaaay better". I see the comparison almost daily in every home I replace DTV with Dish (Which IS daily) and I see no discernible difference.

EDIT: I DID just compare packages, and I see nothing that justifies paying an extra $60.00. The only thing I saw that I don't have now, thanks to my Showtime including Flix is Starz, although I get Encore and I get the HDNet Movies with the Dish Movie Pack, so there's your issue right there with your Bill

I think he is talking about Directv Now which at last check was using 1080P streams.. Not Directv

First, I don't have Direct TV, or DTV as you called it. I have DirecTV NOW. It is AT&T's streaming service. Read a couple posts further down the line. for other opinions about the picture quality.

The America's Everything pak includes all the premium channels, and I had the $8/month for Dish Protect.

There is no "I think". The post that HipKat quoted says DirecTVNow explicitly. :)

I didn’t notice that. I believe this thread started out with him talking about his bill primarily, plus the dig on picture quality. There’s one thing about this that I really do question. How can anything be reliable and AT&T Internet? AT&T’s Internet, to be frank, sucks so I don’t see how anybody can reliably stream on that, Or I’m missing something

It can vary so much from area to area. So while ATT might be the least reliable provider in your area, it may be the best elsewhere. I know in my town, its pretty bulletproof, whereas the local cable company has outages weekly it seems.
