Can we keep track of new ATSC 3.0 stations going on the air?

You may have noticed that they don't offer a DTV tuner so why would they visit Next Gen TV?

I would imagine that Roku places fairly high value on being able to include "channels" from popular streaming services and offering alternatives may raise eyebrows.

They also don't support MPEG2 and have told developers (aka Silicondust) that they never will. I agree with you that they want their platform free of any broadcast-related RF tuning ability or video decoding.

Now as for the Amazon Fire stick, I can stream OTA video just fine from an HDHR device. So perhaps Amazon will get on board with 3.0, at least in their Fire TV line.

I'm guessing the release of the likely cheapy Korean box is going to be somewhere around the end of the month.

If it costs me less than $250 to get and import it whenever it's released I'm going for it

What are you going to do with the first one you have, that appears to only work in South Korea?

I'm jaded because my area SFN project went down in flames due to repeated equipment failure. I wasn't all that optimistic because I'm don't understand how SFN is going to serve a market that covers tens of thousands of square miles or if there is some manner of hybrid setup that will make it all work.

I was initially hopeful many concepts would be proven out (or fantasy) as my market is filled with all manner of RF propagation pitfalls.

Trip do we know which stations are currently testing right atsc 3.0 i wish someone would keep a tally of which ones are doing it right now.
