along with the NBC feeds that were carried on Ku-Band GE1, which of the NBC affiliates were available on Ku-Band at the time?, aside from what's listed here? (1997)

S3R-13: WRC 4 Washington, D.C.
S3R-13L: KXAS 5 Dallas-Ft. Worth
S3R-13U: WHDH 7 Boston (also carried as the east coast NBC affiliate on Primestar)
S3R-14: WTVJ 6 Miami-Ft. Lauderdale
S3R-14L: WMAQ 5 Chicago
S3R-14U: WXIA 11 Atlanta
S3R-15L: KNBC 4 Los Angeles (also carried as the PT24 west coast NBC affiliate on C-Band/DirecTV)
S3R-15U: WNBC 4 New York City (also carried as the PT24 east coast NBC affiliate on C-Band/DirecTV, branded as "NBC America Via Satellite")
S3R-16: KPNX 12 Phoenix
S3R-17L: KRON 4 San Francisco
S3R-17U: WPXI 11 Pittsburgh
S3R-18L: KSL 5 Salt Lake City
WSMV 4 Nashville (as part of the Nashville package that was on Galaxy 4 Ku-Band)
I wonder what other NBC affiliates they carried back in '97?

but what about the NBC affiliates on Ku-Band aside from what's listed there? I know the Canadian Anik E1/E2 satellite feeds carried KING 5 (NBC - Seattle), WDIV 4 (NBC - Detroit), KHQ 6 (NBC - Spokane), KARE 11 (NBC - Minneapolis), WGRZ 2 (NBC - Buffalo) & WHEC 10 (NBC - Rochester).

I reread the post and noticed it said the ny, la NBC's were also on Cband. I should have stated that I was Cband only in '97( except for my Belltv was ku band).

Oh, but what about the other NBC stations that were on Ku-Band in '97?
(KCRA 3 (NBC - Sacramento) also carried as the west coast NBC affiliate on Primestar, KGW 8 (NBC - Portland), WCAU 10 (NBC - Philadelphia), WKYC 3 (NBC - Cleveland), WCMH 4 (NBC - Columbus) WESH 2 (NBC - Orlando), KVBC 3 (NBC - Las Vegas), WTMJ 4 (NBC - Milwaukee), WJRH 2 (NBC - Tulsa), KFOR 4 (NBC - Oklahoma City), etc...)

Prime time 24 was on F2 back in 80s then moved around. There were no nbc affiliates on ku. Just the feeds you see now . east, central, mountain, Pacific. They were analog on the K1 K2 satellites where most of their backhauls were located.

They were all on c until the mid 80s when NBC moved most of their feeds to ku

But there were on the Spacenet 3R feeds until they were shut down on the Ku-Band service in Dec. 1999 (KNBC/Los Angeles, KPNX/Phoenix, KXAS/Dallas Ft. Worth, WXIA/Atlanta, WTVJ/Miami-Ft. Lauderdale, KRON/San Francisco, KSL/Salt Lake City, WMAQ/Chicago, WRC/Washington, D.C., WPXI/Pittsburgh, WNBC/New York City, WHDH/Boston etc...), as well as the Canadian Telesat Anik E1 & E2 feeds (KING/Seattle, KHQ/Spokane, WDIV/Detroit, WGRZ/Buffalo & WHEC/Rochester).

I don't remember. Maybe they were for directv? Why are you asking on multiple forums like radio discussions and dbs talk? Is it for a school paper?

I ask them, but whenever I post a forum they'll never respond, they just ignore me! and when I post a new forum on DBS Talk they just remove it & give me a warning (or else my account will be deleted from there).

+Mikel Now let's continue with the topic, shall we?, well I'd still want to know what other NBC affiliates were carried on Ku-Band at the time, along with the Spacenet 3R feeds. (please help me here!)

without changing the thread what about the ABC Affiliates that were on the same feeds?
WJLA 7 (ABC - Washington, D.C.), also carried as the PT24 east coast ABC affiliate on C-Band/DirecTV until it was replaced by WKRN 2 Nashville in Nov. of that year.
WFAA 8 (ABC - Dallas Ft. Worth)
WCVB 5 (ABC - Boston)
WPLG 10 (ABC - Miami Ft. Lauderdale)
WLS 7 (ABC - Chicago)
WSB 2 (ABC - Atlanta), also carried as the east coast ABC affiliate on Primestar.
KABC 7 (ABC - Los Angeles), also carried as the west coast ABC affiliate on Primestar, and one of the backup affiliate feeds on C-Band.
WABC 7 (ABC - New York City), also carried on DirecTV Puerto Rico.
KNXV 15 (ABC - Phoenix)
WTAE 4 (ABC - Pittsburgh)
KTVX 4 (ABC - Salt Lake City)
WKRN 2 (ABC - Nashville), part of the "Nashville" package that was on Galaxy 4 Ku-Band.
KATU 2 (ABC - Portland)
KTUL 8 (ABC - Tulsa)
WPVI 6 (ABC - Philadelphia)
KOMO 4 (ABC - Seattle), also carried as the PT24 west coast ABC affiliate on C-Band/DirecTV.
WXYZ 7 (ABC - Detroit)
KXLY 4 (ABC - Spokane)
KSTP 5 (ABC - Minneapolis-St. Paul)
WKBW 7 (ABC - Buffalo)
WOKR 13 (ABC - Rochester)
aside from this list, I know Telstar 4/5 were used for the ABC West/East feeds & NewsOne feeds (same satellites were used for the Fox, UPN, Buena Vista & Nebraska ETV feeds). I wonder what other ABC affiliates (as well as NBC's) were carried on the Ku-Band feeds?

well see If you can get a satellite chart from the Internet Archive?, something similar to this:Satellite Chart or even this:C-Band Satellite Chart but for the Ku birds. (I've already viewed the SatcoDX & Lyngemark Charts but they're nowhere to the above charts)

Joseph, why should I or others "get you a satellite chart from Internet Archive"?

Your fingers don't appear to be broken to me, & you seem capable enough yourself since you have even given examples above of charts from the VERY SAME PLACE! IF you can ask and type that question HERE, you can go there yourself again and do it.

I think your troll job here is done. You haven't been straight with us at all, no matter how many times we've asked, and you just keep asking the same thing over and over then tell us we are wrong. This is why you got banned everywhere else, which even you admitted in one thread.

Go away, we can't help you when you refuse to accept what information we've already tried to find for you.

+primestar31 I'm not trolling, I'm trying to be nice! The reason you should get me a satellite chart (for Ku Band) is for research, historical & archival purposes because virtually few of them can be found! (I already bought the World Satellite Yearly 1998/2000 book and it will ship in a couple days)

Get it yourself
