Hey, thanks for your "Likes" my post. :):)

when I wiped the snow off the BUD, the GEOSAT PRo PVR-3500 HD
receiver GOT THE SIGNAL RIGHT AWAY!!! :):):):):)
And it's working in the FREEZING tempt. Even though it's sunny today,
but we MAYBE GET MORE SNOW on Thursday and Saturday.
Please check out SEATTLE'S WEATHER!!! I hope it's FAKE!!!
Because the BUDs HATES SNOW!!! :):)ME TOO!!! :mad::mad:

It's suppose to be FREEZING NIGHTS in the 20's!!!! AAHHHH!!!:mad::mad::mad:
But amazing still got signal in the cold!!!
The co-rotor II feehorn and LNB C-band must be BRAVE!!!:):)

Likely heavy wet snow too. Just the weight of the snow on the bottom of the dish causes the assembly to bend forward/downward just a bit and signals drop or disappear. Ku is more affected than C-band likely because the aim has to be more perfect and the snow absorbs more RF (think of snow depth in wavelengths to compare the two bands). The offset dishes for Ku don't hold snow up here, it just slides off because the surfaces are almost vertical at this latitude. Some car wax on the dish surface helps too... but Seattle isn't much farther south than where I am just north of the 49th.
-20C here currently and with snow on the dishes everything is working great right now. The snow we have is light and fluffy so doesn't affect the signals much. We were down to almost -40 last week and got better than usual signals (re-scanned and found transponders on C-band moved down about 200-300KHz). Of course the receiver's AFC compensates for the temperature-caused frequency drift. Maybe I'll post a pic of the dish farm later if I get time, too dark right now. :)

Snowing here also. Probably will get enough accumulation to where I'll have to go out and clear the dishes.

Since you're in Alaska, I wish our Government STOP using
the HARP that's in Alaska, that pollute smoke or chemical to
contacts the clouds to change the jet stream. STOP IT!!!!:(:(

You could find that info by looking up from"Science" channel's
website or some shows that talked about "HARP" on Science
channel.:):)

Only the good thing is the cold temperature helps your LNBF noise floor go lower and pull in weak signals!:)

Even though I live in New Mexico, a mile high city very well known called Albuquerque, which we don't get very much snow but get brutal nightimes cold temperature!:D

It's HARP!!! H - A - R - P!!!! HARP!:)
The U.S. Gov. controls our weather, by using
chemical facility in Alaska that sends chemical in the air
to contact the clouds.
Look it up on the "Science Channel".
In that case, maybe the HARP is causing the
Global warming!!!!

HARP is use for the Pentagon to move the clouds
to cover over terrorist location so that they can
BOMB them through the clouds!!!

Enough, they need to stop controlling Mother Nature!!!:):(

Here is the HAARP location in Alaska. The High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program (HAARP) was initiated as an ionospheric research program jointly funded by the U.S. Air Force, the U.S. Navy, the University of Alaska Fairbanks. It uses radio waves, not chemicals. :)
