Hot transponder ? 87W - 95W

I'm looking for the hottest tp between 87W and 95W , to set up my 4 foot little ugly dish. This is my first setup of a fixed mount prime focus dish ( which doesn't make it any easier) , and being a 4 footer, not as easy as my old 6 footer. Thanks for any help !

Are you going after c band, or Ku?

C-band . I have a motorized Ku setup that works just fine for my humble needs. I'd like to get back into C-band again, but have severe limits on the arc that I can hit effectively. I'm in Holland , Mi which is almost azimuth 180 degrees to 87W .

There's a lot of scrambled TPs on 91W that are pretty hot.

Well that's not an easy puzzle to solve. You are basically at 86°W with only 2 transponders on 87W and neither one appears to be a strong signal. Using a bird 5 degrees from due south makes it real tough.

I believe this is going to be a fixed installation.

BYU on 91W comes in with 85%Q for me here in CT, 3923/V/4249.

Folk TV on 87W I have at 74% Q, 4163/V/4749.

Golden gate fields is the strongest I have on 95W, 80%Q, 4578/V/3301.

i'm not sure if that's still the case but when I played with a mini-BUD, the strongest transponder was "The Word" on 91W

I can confirm BYU is the strongest signal out there! 74% quality on a 4 foot prime focus dish with a titanium c band pll lnb. I’ve tried many birds from 34w to 133w last summer. I didn’t get much, my favorite was CW on 91 but now i’m seeing it scrambled on lyngsat. Sad to see that one go!

That BYU variety channel on 91w has some real good shows and movies on it.Well worth going for. That's not the same programming as the BYU religious channels.

TitanTv has a guide for it. Register there, and setup your own personalized online grid guide for the channels you can get. I've been doing that for many years. Works well!

Thanks for the responses. I'm having no success and plan on relocating my dish ( easy to do ) to another temporary location with a wide, unobstructed view. Trying to acquire a signal thru a gap in the evergreens is not helping my confidence.
