Cheddar could be a nice add, tech and business news, but their implementation is slow and clunky, much like most of the interactive items. This really should have just been launched as two linear channels, their tech news and business news. When I used Youtube TV it operated like any other cable channel, you would never know the difference. DirecTV's implementation is far from that - it is obvious that it is an external app assigned a channel number, and can take 15+ seconds to get programming, if you do at all. My first test gave me a blank screen with a live logo and the option to press the red button for more. Less than impressive.
Just curious, is there actual, programing info on the program guide for Cheddar when you pull the guide up on-screen, like any other (linear) channel???

Yes, there is Guide Info in the guide for this Channel...

When ever I happen to turn it on, out of curiosity, it shows a D* logo and a few seconds later it changes to another page that gives some info and says SELECT at the bottom.

Is there any charges involved with this channel ?

This could be the future. Look at Pluto TV, a Hundred Streaming channels all free.
If Directv could do this they could also 100 streaming channels, not cost to customer. Some are not that good, some are world news.
Even Weather Nation is free streaming. Just add a channel for it (or link).

Yesterday I noticed Charter added Chedder, it's channel 221 for areas on the L-Time Warner NCL. It's the full linear channel in HD, not an On Demand/streaming version like DirecTV has. No body is missing anything by not having this trash full time. Just some brain dead millennial targeted channel. I was watching a few minutes of a show where some goofball had the owner of a mom and pop electronics store sell Samsung 4KTVs for a dollar and tried to get Best Buy to price match them. The catch, the store had a dress code of a tuxedo, and if you showed back up with a tuxedo, you had to crawl through a small opening in the wall and then you got to a larger door with a live alligator behind it. You had to get past the gator to get the TV for $1. Best Buy refused to price match and the mom and pop show and the plants got all mad. While I am the last person to defend or support Best Buy, the whole point was to push the envelope and abuse the BB price matching policy and then bash the 'evil corporation' for not matching it..

This is in no way a real business channel like CNBC or Fox Business or Bloomberg. This is YouTube millennial junk just like Fusion TV and Viceland.

Nothing groundbreaking here but some updates for Directv:

New channel for us: HSN2, channel 310 (SD only)
New HD upgrade: TBN HD, channel 372
Rebrand: QVC3, channel 318 (SD only)
New/Re-add: Kids Mix, channel 199

Glad they. Choose to keep the kids mix !

Reminds me of years ago when we had
Sports
News &
Kids mix

If you live in/near any major city it's in HD free over the air... It is also in HD on C-Band satellite...

If I’m ever in a location in where I can get a C-Band satellite dish, I’ll consider it. Anyways, I’m pretty selective about who I listen to on those religious channels. People like Joel Osteen and Benny Hinn are false prophets, so I usually follow individuals like Billy Graham, Ray Comfort, and David Reagan. Ray Comfort is actually my favorite theologian.
