I am bringing my room into modern times, I am upgrading to 4K capability. I now have an Integra DRC-R1.1 surround processor, Panasonic UB820 Blu Ray player, 4 additional speakers mounted in the ceiling and an amplifier to power them, for Atmos soundtracks, an JVC DLA RS540 Projector and I am painting the ceiling black, for a real bat cave. Now I just have to get it all installed and the room finished up. I'll post up some pics as I progress.

almost ready to start mudding in the Sheetrock and patches.
Ugh, dust from the sanding will be EVERYWHERE! Good luck, and thanks for posting the pictures as you make progress.

I know, I am trying to keep everything covered with drop cloths but it will still get everywhere. I have the screen covered to protect it also.

I thought I would give an update, for those interested. I have had some family medical problems, BIL with stage 4 cancer and also some medical problems myself, cataract surgery that didn't go well and had to go to a Retina specialists to try and get it fixed. These things have prevented me from doing any work in the room. Hopefully I will be able to get back at it soon.

Another update, my BIL passed this past week after a tough battle with cancer and we just got back early this morning from the funeral. He was a great guy and went way too soon, he was only 65. It is going to take a while to get back to a normal routine around here, my wife has taken it very hard, he was her little brother and the last of her family. I hope to get back to the theater soon and finally get it finished up. I will post more pics, as I make some progress.

My condolences on the loss of your BIL. Cancer sucks.
