There are three FilmStruck subscription plans to choose from:
  • FilmStruck Monthly Subscription for $6.99 / month
  • FilmStruck + Criterion Channel Monthly Subscription for $10.99 / month
  • FilmStruck + Criterion Channel Annual Subscription for $99.00/ year
FilmStruck is available online, on mobile devices, and select TV platforms including the following, with additional platforms and devices coming in the future.
  • Desktop
  • Android Handsets and Tablets (OS versions 4.4 and higher)
  • iPhones and iPad (OS versions 9.0 and higher)
  • Amazon Fire TV (OS versions 5.0 and higher)
  • Apple TV 4th Generation - FilmStruck will be available on Apple TV in November 2016
  • Coming Soon: Chromecast and Roku
All films will be in HD unless they are not available in that format.

I don't have Hulu. Didn't even know they had Criterion. Anyway, moving forward FilmStruck is going to be the exclusive home for the Criterion Collection.
 
It does. But it's slightly cheaper than the commercial-free Hulu. So for those who are not interested in what else Hulu has to offer, this might actually be a better deal. And Criterion Collection movies are always priced at premium.

The launch is delayed until November!

Sounds like they've discovered some technical problems and need to address them ASAP.

I am really hoping for a Roku app/channel to be released soon!

FilmStruck has been shut down as of November 29, 2018. Turner and Warner Bros. Digital Networks have pulled the plug. That is unfortunate, as it had some great movies not available anywhere else. I've been watching FilmStruck from time to time and really enjoyed it.

Well, it looks like Criterion is going to build its own streaming service now and will launch it in Spring of 2019. If you are interested, you can subscribe and lock in the "Charter Subscriber" rate ($9.99 a month or $89.99 a year). No credit card is required at this point and there will be a 30-day free trial once the service is launched.

I had Warner Streaming for several months. Lots of old classic TV shows not available elsewhere for $10 a month ad free. I had it until the end. Really miss them too.
 
Just got an update! The Criterion Channel is relaunching on April 8!
Will be available on Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire, as well as on iOS and Android devices.

The Criterion Channel launches on April 8, and we’re excited to share our first month’s lineup! The April calendar of thematic programming highlights an eclectic mix of classic and contemporary films from Hollywood and around the world, many not streaming anywhere else.

The new service will host the Criterion Collection and Janus Films’ ever-growing library of more than 1,000 feature films, 350 shorts, and 3,500 supplementary features, including trailers, introductions, behind-the-scenes documentaries, interviews, video essays, commentary tracks, and rare archival footage. It will also feature a constantly refreshed selection of films from a wide array of studio and independent licensors including Sony Pictures, Warner Bros., Paramount Pictures, Metro Goldwyn Mayer (MGM), Lionsgate, IFC Films, Kino Lorber, Cohen Media, Milestone Film and Video, Oscilloscope, Cinema Guild, Strand Releasing, Shout Factory, Film Movement, and Grasshopper Films. Additional licensors will be added in the coming months.
