Star Trek Discovery

Tonight’s episodes showing that Klingons can indeed look different , much like humans. Some in the episode look very similar to the second interpretation of the species. Some still look like the latest. One still more favors the original series interpretation.
I'm guessing this is a response to the fan backlash of last season's look.

Here's a pic I found of the redesign of L'Rell that someone posted.

Get A Closer Look At L’Rell–With Hair!–In ‘Star Trek: Discovery’ Season 2

Best episode of the series so far. Several storylines going on at the same time and it was ALMOST too much, but balanced in a way that it just "worked".
The crew came together as a family unit finally, and we got another reason that the spore drive may have gone out of use, as well as the reason the original Enterprise did not have the holographic communications.

Still no Spock on screen of yet, but they keep building that storyline and his relationship to Michael.

One of the best episodes of Trek among all of the series they have had IMO.

I feel sorry for those that gave up on this after a few episodes into the first season.

The enterprise tonight, it was well done.

I haven't given up. I have them all, just haven't watched past the first two yet.

If this series gets credited for pulling us out of the mirror universe abomination and back to prime, then I will definitely be back in the fold.

I am very pleased with this season of Discovery. The cinematic effects that they are using make it seem like a Star Trek Movie every week. I now like the Michael Burnam character and understand more about her history. I really like Anson Mount / Capt. Pike as the captain of the Discovery. He brings the old Star Trek history to life. The first season was a little too slow and plodding ,although I did like the mirror universe story line. I didn't want to pay the $6.00 a month for the CBS app,but I have really enjoyed watching the show and soon will be watching the Twilight Zone episodes when I get time. I also like the Good Wife sequel show, but I need to catch up to current time. A few more rainy weekend days I should be able to do that.

I will need to go back and read this thread from the beginning, but my friend "gifted" me CBS All Access so I will now watch "Star Trek: Discovery" from the Pilot which I watched when it came out. I'll report in but I seem to be more receptive to it this time around.

Watch Season two FIRST, trust me.

Then watch Season one. For that matter, maybe skipping Season One completely would be better.

I’m an idiot. Binged 4 episodes yesterday and 4 today. Now I’m caught up and mad I have to wait for the final episode

It has been a very good season though. I’m ready to see if my thoughts play out on where it’s heading.

I made it all the way through Season 1 and almost all the way through Season 2. I'm glad Season 2 didn't turn into a "Rescue of the Week" series, they intermixed enough background exposition on Sector 31.
But I still have too many questions about the 950 years to come. And the AI certainly didn't need to become self-aware to be dangerous.

It's the belief of most of us that the A.I. is
leftover BORG tech from the movie First Contact, where they went back in time and tried to takeover Earth

*sigh* Yet Another Example of the "Evil badness Alien / AI Tech that relies on a single central controlled point of failure. Hasn't the concept of distributed computing reached Sci Fi writers?
So, with the way Season 2 of "Star Trek: Discovery" ended, will there be a Season 3?
And was that William Shatner's jaw we saw in a cameo role?
