That is sound advice from Bobby to wait until Scott reports they are available, but until then if folks want they can log into their account and look for them at the Dish Store, even though they should be free. Once they show up at the Dish Store they can be ordered from a CSR. That is what I was told today, but then again that may very well be wrong, who knows. Of course Bobby does!! :clapping

It does appear that they have a few free items on the dish store - so you never know - snap might end up there.

They are not available yet. DISH don't even have them in their hands yet.

I wish they wouldn't announce hard dates on things when they know they will not be available on that date.

But yes initially (after they get them) they will be going out on new installs, and this is to better test them as they have only had limited testing in the field.

I'm guessing they'll want to have more testing time with them before they commit to producing a whole lot of them, so it may be a while more before we can get them.

I installed one yesterday, and two so far today. On the hopper slings, I absolutely noticed a difference in response time. The hopper 2000, didn't notice much difference.

Honestly, the idea of having the H1 back to its days when it had the legacy interface would be great. A day without my wife saying how much it sucks since the change would be great.

If I was a new customer I would want the H3 not the HWS, therefore I wouldn't need the Hopper Snap. But having two HWS boxes I really wish Dish would provide them to existing customers who need them.

I have played CSR roulette this evening. Like Scott said previously they are sending them out to installers only.

Both hopper slings I put one on were upgrades from a hopper 2000. The snap I put on a hopper 2000 today was a new connect. The one lady that got upgraded to a hws with snap was under the impression that she was getting a hopper 3. That was a fun conversation..

And if our last installer hadn’t sliced all the cables from our original install I could do that without a crawl space expedition. I have considered it. I’ll just put on a extra hernia belt! Lol
