I've been surprised more than once by getting a usable signal through some foliage. Not always a great signal, but at least watchable. At the site below, all three sats were in the green except when the wind blew hard.

You know there's an old SW21 zip tied to the back of the dish that has corroded f connectors :biggrin

I've seen them suckers still work like that too! I used to get a few off ebay and carry with me just in case for service calls so I didn't have to get burned by my office to upgrade and certainly if the customer didn't want to. You would spend 20mins on phone with dish to do it, not getting paid for that time and so on.. yep leave em alone if they are working or put new ones on and go on.

As for the bushes.. I'd cut em away just enough and be on my way.

Someone made a thing called a switch a Roo, which was a piece of grey plastic conduit with 2 plugs on each side to keep the switches out of the weather.

I hated, absolutely hates zip strapping sw21 to the back of the dishes

Let’s see Dish500, (8) 311’s and (2) SW44’s

Upgrading to Slimline Dish and (8) H25

How is that downgrading. I’m doing the customer a favor lowering their bill and upgrading them to HD.
Lowering their bill?? Now THAT is funny! What, for 3 months? 19 out of 20 New Connects arte switching from DTV to Dish and mostly because of the Billing increases every 3 months

We have dishOne here right now, which means tons of people switching from DirecTV to Dish. Every one of them are saving AT LEAST $40 per month. There's been a few tell me they're saving $70 per month. And they're all happy to be getting out from under AT&T's thumb. I'm constantly hearing how their bills go up every month, for literally no reason.

I'm in DishOne, errrr, Caliber time, too and same thing,m even without Dish One. Easily 9 out of 10 New Connects are replacing DTV and 100% of THOSE are because of the Billing. Whatever, DTV is dead and just hasn't figured it out yet, IMO. Come 2022, that should be the final stake in their hearts
