94,000

Some good original shows. Depends on what you like though.

My wife seems to be addicted to Lucifer, and is very upset that there will only be one more season (5) before it ends.
I don't think we give wives enough credit, mine figured out the Roku when we switched to streaming only more then a year ago and we are not young ( in our 50s).

Yup. My wife was watching Netflix on our Roku TV, and formerly watched it on another dumb TV downstairs hooked up to our Hopper 3... Then the downstairs TV just goes blank and must be rebooted when you try to run Netflix on the H3. Of course this was all MY FAULT for some reason. So I bought her another Roku TV. ;) 43" 4K Sharp: $180. :D

Where do you select which app or device you want?
I use the TV's remote for that. One button push and everything appears allowing me to select whichever app or device I want. My previous post neglected to mention I also have a Roku device, so I have 4 inputs that the TV will switch to. I use the TV's remote for everything except if I switch to the hopper, I need to then use the Hopper's remote.

Broken record time....

I have smart universal remotes (and you can too). You just select what you want to do on the touchscreen part of it ("watch dish", "watch smart TV", "watch netflix", "watch bluray", ...) and it turns the right things on, the wrong things off, and sets the TV and AVR inputs as needed. There is little reason to have separate remotes or require family members to know what inputs to set for what.

All I know is that "over 94,000 Titles" is a hell of a lot of titles!
I can tell you from long experience that it includes hell of a lot junk or Already Seen It (them all) or that old show or movie is already playing on Dish channels or OTA channels and already in DVR or timers. As for my preference, I am NOT a binge watcher; I never have enough time for binging. In fact, I PREFER viewing one or two episodes and then continue a day or two later, or even a WEEK later.

Another frustration is that Netflix will have only ONE series (season) of an old show (especially British) and not the subsequent series (season as USA would say). WHAT? Ironically, I find Hulu has the more interesting content overall, especially international and British with ALL the Series, and often the best Brit shows with all series available, especially the most popular or edge comedies. NOPE, they are not found on Netflix, or at least ONE series (season) shows up and then the whole show disappears from Netflix. Can you tell I've found Netflix--and all these OTT services, Hulu included, great disappointments. My main desire is NEW content that is currently airing, and the OTT's are just not providing that today, and I am surprised at how much OLD (seen it more than once already) junk is on Netflix. The total number of titles says NOTHING about it content being quality content. Now, Disney+ has some real potential because of its QUALITY, including even the Fox TV and Studios ontent.

Did you see how that old, not funny show Friends was one of Netflix's most watched content? Meanwhile all those way too expensive to produce "original" content gets "buzz" but not nearly as many eyeballs. And then there is the lousy PQ on those old shows. Those same old shows on cable channels look superior and even with better sound. I can tell you that MeTV (we get HD via LIL or OTA) has aired some SHOCKING great PQ on some of the old shows that beats Netflix's running a film projector into a cheap tele-cine like PQ like we used to see on low budget OTA back in the 1970's. Still Netflix and other OTT's have some value, but the vast majority of the content Netflix has is still JUNK--because it is cheap or affordable to gain the rights, and then Netflix can brag about in number of titles.

I've gone all far too long. :).

I’ve always been able to find something worth watching on Netflix when nothing strikes me on Amazon Prime or the movie pack. But when I see a reply that fills my smartphone for two screens, I scroll and scroll again. 62 and taking value in it all. Just never graduated the Evelyn Woodhead sped reading course. Lol!!!

Whenever I have tried these, I always run into limitations, but I guess it is probably time to take another look.

Same here, started the umbrella academy like a month ago and I'm barely on episode 6, my bestie on the other hand can binge watch for hours and hours oof...

I guess I'm not seeing that as any different than pressing the "Source" button on my remotes and selecting the input I want. My wife does it regularly to switch between Satellite, FireTVstick, DVD player, etc... What issue am I missing here?

I don't necessarily think it is a "wife" thing as much as it is people wanting intuitive interfaces. The idea of different sources for different content isn't something some people want to hold in their minds all the time, especially if they are already trying to keep track of dozens of other things.

By "big 3" I assume you mean Netflix, Prime, and Hulu. I won't argue your point. However, I recently went through this decsion process. I joined Amazon Prime for the free shipping. I hate going to stores, especially for Christmas shopping. So, Prime Video is pretty much free and a no-brainer for me and many others.
Not to mention, Prime has really been upping their choice of series. I'm stuck on Goliath right now. Great show!

A bit heavy handed with the redneck stereotyping

Yes, but all movies, tv shows, stage productions, etc. are a caricature of life. I mean, NCIS would be pretty boring if they just followed around a couple of crime scene investigators for a few days. So, they throw in a few shootouts, some explosions, car chases, and so forth. In fact, US Marshals have a pretty boring job overall. That's the main reason I turned down an opportunity to become one. Raylynn Givens was the biggest stretch of them all.

I have 6 TVs in the house. 2 are 4K Smart TVs. At those TVs I use the app on the Smart TV. I like apps on the H3 so I can watch them on the other 4 TVs. So we watch Netflix more often than Amazon Prime due to it being on the H3. We have not got other apps like Hulu or Youtube because they are not on the H3.

Youtube is on the H3.
