It was likely used for DirecTV and is a circular polarity LNBF with 13/18VDC polarity switching. The LO is 11250.

You might find a few unencrypted channels on a Dish Network satellite with a DVBS FTA receiver, but it is the wrong frequency and polarity for receiving FSS Free To Air services.

Rather old school dish, but should receive something with a DirecTV or DishNetwork receiver and aimed at the correct subscription satellite.

Ahhh the days where you could choose and own your own equipment!

That is exactly why I am so anxious to try the new Orby service. I have ordered my choice of dish and LNB and when it arrives, I can put it up myself without dealing with some random guy who thinks he knows more about it than I do. Well, to be honest, the equipment for the major satellite providers has gotten so complicated that it is beyond my knowledge set. Plus there is no contract or credit check just like in the early days of satellite TV.

It’s not going to work anyway because there was water inside the lnb and corrosion and when I accidentally dropped it something fell off the circuit board oh well.

I built a dual dish system for Dish Network and I own all of the equipment. Dish authorized my ViP 211k no questions asked. I have a Winegard 76cm aiming at Echostar16 (61.5W) and a 1 meter aiming at Nimiq5. I have no idea of how DirectTV behaves, but Dish doesnt care as long as they get a subscription.

Yes, I used the Winegard 2076 and GeoSat Pro SL-1 PLL LNB. It it cost a little bit more than what Orby would have supplied but the signal does not even fade during a heavy West Texas thunderstorm.
